Find out what previous participants had to say about the programme:
I’m much more conscious of my core and now know how to keep working on engaging it through everyday activity and through targeted exercises. My core already feels stronger and I”ve been motivated to continue the exercises several times a week since the course ended. I feel stronger and more confident about what my body is ready for after having a baby, and have returned to running since doing the HCR course.
The opportunity to take some time out for myself once a week, the relaxed but professional teaching style, the accessible online coaching sessions and getting to know the group. The course was realistic about how much time we each had to give to exercising and to nutrition, which made it all feel manageable and as a result I’ve continued in the weeks since the course ended – and don’t plan to stop!
Sarah is a great and highly motivated trainer, the midweek texts to keep us in track we’re a nice touch. I feel fitter, healthier and more motivated! I have lost weight on the scales and people have also commented on it! I am eating better breakfasts and lunches, snacking less.
When I started the course I was very bent over, I had just had a bladder operation, a sling thing for a prolapse, well working with Michelle was the best thing ever, my core was none existent. So in the end we worked one to one for 6months. My whole body has changed the bladder is getting better, the core inside I am talking to! I am starting to get stronger in my tummy which then this supports my upper body, I’ve lost the stoop which I’ve had for years. People have made so many remarks it’s quite amazing.
My stomach is flatter & I feel stronger. Gaining knowledge & confidence in myself.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
Learning about my body & how it works. Knowing other women feel as i do & actually doing something positive to improve my overall well being about it.
My pelvic floor function has gone from “negligible ability to contract muscles” (previously assessed as 1 out of 5) to be able to contract muscles (assessed as a 4 out of 5). This will require continued effort to build endurance but, having previously been advised that there was probable nerve damage with little prospect of change, the programme has been life changing.
I have taken on the nutritional advice and sustained nutritional changes – cutting out most refined sugar and caffeine and increasing intake of healthier alternatives. This has led to a marked difference in energy levels, PMT symptoms and easier daily bowel movements resulting in a reduction in my moderate rectocele symptoms.
I have also lost some weight as a by product of above.
I now have hope and a more positive attitude that I can make things better – in the past I have felt hopeless.
The course has been great – I have a better understanding of how the pelvic floor is crucial to the function of the whole body. My stomach has become more toned and my stomach split has gone from 2.5 fingers to 1
I have learnt to be aware of my pelvic floor & also enjoyed the short talks too.. less leaks too
The course has taught me to think about my pelvic floor whilst exercising. I seem to have a little more control of my bladder. It’s definitely a work in progress.
Iam now more aware of my posture breathing and most of all control over my Core Muscle. I have not taken any medication for my constipation since I started this course. I feel good inside as outside. Thank you!
After my c section I was surprised how weak my core had become and was slightly nervous about undertaking any exercise due to ongoing tenderness. However, Emma is an excellent coach who really supported me through the class each week. Emma is a fantastic trainer, she is motivational and really approachable and makes the classes enjoyable. I looked forward to the class each week as some ‘me time’
It has made me more aware of my core and pelvic floor and given me the tools to continue working on my postnatal fitness… Yes it’s been brilliant. I can feel the anterior pelvic floor more now and prolapse doesn’t feel as heavy
I would highly recommend this course to anyone postnatal. I don’t think women take postnatal & pelvic floor issues seriously enough and we should have more awareness around repairing our bodies and properly strengthening our pelvic floor and core. This course gave me the tools to learn to do this safely.
I am beyond grateful for finding my coach and the Hollistic Core Restore programme in fixing my diastais recti prior to restarting exercise. I feel it is so important for women to be aware of the potential problems they can face if they do not focus on restoring their core before starting/resuming exercise and to not settle for a “mummy tummy”.
It’s been great to spend time focussing on the pelvic floor and core and thinking about it all more holistically. I feel I owed it to my body to do something geared towards this rather than just getting back into general excercise. I have been so much more aware of it and it feels much more activated. I also became aware of my tummy muscle separation and can now work on improving this further.
It surpassed my expectations.Very beneficial. My core stomach muscle separation has reduced & firmed. I’ve gained in confidence exercising & benefitted from diet & lifestyle advice. I’ve noticed such an improvement in just 6 weeks & it’s motivated me to keep going. I finally believe that I can get my pre-pregnancy body & fitness back if continue with the exercises I’ve been taught.
There was a massive difference with the appearance of my stomach from the first day to the last, from looking very loose to very tight. I could see results weekly with regards to strength and core development. Even though the types of exercises were limited to begin with to restore my core I was still able to work up a sweat. Also you can go at your own pace and choose which weight used depending on your strengths I found I progressed quite quickly and felt I could do more, in terms of different exercises and weight. I.e. I was able to do burpees/ press ups and heavier weight etc earlier than that was programmed. Maybe the programme could be tailored slightly more to the individual or possibly a more advanced one for people who recover quicker After giving birth I was very eager to get straight back into the crossfit way of exercising but not knowing the do’s and don’ts of post pregnancy exercising and how important restoring your core was; I then contacted Vivienne for help. I have now completed the heavy restore programme (which contained crossfit elements to the work outs) and I can’t recommend it enough! I feel my core has fully restored and I am know back to crossfit full time!
It has made me positively refocus on my pelvic floor issues and helped my confidence around the subject. It has given me knowledge of various aspects that I was not aware of and have been able to pass this information on to other ladies. With the confidence Caroline instilled in me I went to see my doctor to ask for a referral to the Women’s Health Physio. I now feel more in control of my body instead of it controlling me
The course was informative with a relaxed group of ladies. I found the exercises really beneficial and since starting I can now jog and sneeze without any little surprises. Erica was very personable and knowledgeable. If you want to changing the way you eat and having a more healthier life style, as well as strengthening your core, then this course is perfect.
The course has meant that I am much more focused and aware of my pelvic floor. It is something that is not considered in any other exercise class but is a common concern for women I enjoyed the fact that the exercises are functional. Having recently had my second baby, It also allowed me to spend time focusing on me.
I’ve learned what the pelvic floor was really, how it works and it is linked to many other muscles. I have a better understanding of my body and am more conscious of what is working when I move. I have many positive results. I gain in confidence when I train and know how to anticipate/stop any accident when I train at ballet or running. Viv has challenged me with by eating. It’s good to say “I need to eat more of that” rather than “less of that”. I am now eating way more protein from various sources, fruit and veg, for all 3 meals. Step by step I took on board Viv’s recommendation and challenges to bring them in my daily/weekly routine: food wise as well as finding 20min to exercise and relax. I really enjoyed bringing back home not only the booklet but also the videos to train anywhere
The course has done a lot for me, in many ways. I’m 4 months post-partem and this course was mainly to help me correct my Diastasis Recti. There has been a notable decrease in the gap, so much so that I can now exercise (with caution) which I never thought would be possible so quickly. The exercises were perfect for my level and having a Whatsapp group helped us keep motivated by sharing our journeys. I’ve also lost a stone in weight during the time of the course. Erica has helped me look at the way I eat and provided some great information, ideas and recipes. It made me feel that I was doing something really positive for myself. The other ladies on the course were amazing and Erica was an empathetic, kind and enthusiastic leader! I enjoyed the exercises and I also loved the different teas and protein balls at the end of each session!
The course has taught me different and better exercises to do to restore my pelvic floor and core, and also gave me a nudge re nutrition to specifically help with pelvic floor weakness. results haven’t been great so far, but that is probably due to my bad habits so is self induced, my incontinence/leaking hasn’t improved that much
“At the start of my course I had a huge 5 finger diastasis which I didn’t know I had. It’s not surprising that the state of my pelvic floor wasn’t great. As a result of Biddie’s personalised program the gap is only a mere smidge of a finger and I can now run, jump, cough, and sneeze with confidence. The difference in my belly in profile is amazing. Without losing weight, I have slimmed down a whole dress size.
I made a veggie smoothie every day to help keep my bowels moving. These helped greatly and the extra bonus is very healthy skin (according to my beauty therapist) .” I enjoyed the weekly natter with Biddie while exercising at the same time. She really boosted my body confidence in a way that no other gym trainer has.
Better connection between pelvic floor and tummy muscles that I can use for all future exercise classes. Better knowledge of link between rest of my body supporting pelvic floor. Holistic approach – linking nutrition, posture, to my core strength and pelvic floor.
“Clearly strengthened core muscles – I know what they should feel like now!
That has also helped my lower back.” “That it was comprehensive and touched on different aspects of wellbeing and self-care.
I liked the fact there was homework- to get us into the habit of doing the exercises on our own. Great that there were videos online.”
Course was brilliant. Made me think about things and has got me started on rebuilding my PF strength. The people, food info and exercises
“First of all the course was in a good location and at a good time for me. I had felt for a long time that I needed to get back onto the exercise band wagon but wanted to try and build up from inside to out. This was a perfect starting place.
I feel stronger and more confident with my pelvic floor muscles. (I managed to dance the night away without wetting myself!) ” “The course was very informative. Kate is a great instructor and was happy to answer questions at any time. She also cared about all of us in the class.
I liked the online homework and being able to follow it in my own time/home. ”
Flatter stomach, stronger abs, stronger pelvic floor and pelvic floor exercises are now a habit. Sarah’s lovely atmosphere and encouraging approach and interesting new exercises.
Gave me confidence to do pelvic floor exrrcise after having ceasran and to enjoy doing exercise again. Helped.me focus and breather and have time for me. Feel in tune with my pelvic floor and have been genreally more aware of my diet and how to relax. Really enjoyed the classes and having an hour out for me. Meeting other ladies and helping me relax. My teacher was really good and helped me keep on track and encourage me in a positive way.
Great to relearn how to reuse my core and pelvic floor. The group class.
Has improved my back pain and helped with my pms as well as problems with my pelvic floor during my period. Day to day the diet changes has helped control my cravings doing something for myself for a change. Moment for me to try to improve my health and with good company
“I am hypermobile and have always suffered with a bad back due to having absolutely no core to help support me.
I have seen a very big difference not only with my core making a lovely appearance throughout the classes, my back ache has reduced a tremendous amount too due to having a wonderful coach (Julie Holl) and also my body shape and weight have changed in a really good way that makes me feel much confident about myself.” “Making new friends, and being welcomed in by all.
Really learning about how the body works and what to do to help make it better and safer for us.
And of course whilst taking care of our core and improving it, I am also feeling fitter and healthier.
The fact that when we are in class it is more about the quality of the move & technique than it is about quantity.
I feel in control of my pelvic floor muscles. My posture is improved and i generally feel better and more confident in myself. That the course was holistic, that it wasn’t just based on exercise, i also learnt about nutrition and self care.
I feel ithas been beneficial. It has taught me a lot how to try and improve my condition. It may take some time.I do feel that some days there is improvement. The enthusiasm and the encouragement that Julie gives makes it very special
I feel stonger, fitter and more toned all over, not just my core. Julie’s classes manage to deliver a unique balance of focus, determination and challenging myself at the same time as relaxing, unwinding and enjoying the company of other like minded ladies. The group as a whole are amazing!
I feel stronger and have managed to do exercises I never thought I would be able to. All of the exercises are achievable and I know that if I can’t do something straight away I will be able to in time. Every week the circuit changes and if you don’t like that particular exercise, it’s ok because you’re only there a minute. I also love exercising with a group of ladies who often feel as tired as I do! Julie has a fantastic way of making everyone feel welcome and like they have all known each other for ages
I feel stronger everywhere not just my core. I have a better understanding of my core and pelvic floor and what I can do to improve and make them stronger. I feel good about myself and more motivated and determined to keep going with building my core and fitness. The support network of women at a similar stage in life and fitness. The support from Julie not just with exercise but nutrition. The level at which the classes were pitched so you feel like you are achieving and improving.
I feel that my stomach is flatter and more toned and dont feel urge to go to the loo so much. The exercising and the relaxation.
“I have seen a great improvement in my stomach, it is so much flatter now. I had a small diastasis recti but it had a big impact on how I felt about my tummy and in clothes that I wouldn’t feel comfortable to wear because of it. I have also seen a great improvement in my posture and with constipation, which has been a problem for me even before I had a baby! So I am very happy about this.
The whole course overall has been helpful as i have been re-educated in the importance of nutrition and drinking plenty of water.” All the encouragement from Elspeth, she is always so helpful and a very lovely, bubbly, positive and energetic person. I really enjoyed learning from her and sometimes even just Elspeth listening to what was going on in my life was a great help.
Improved posture, better diet, less to zero urge incontinence, fitter, stronger. Feeling the benefits quickly. The online access.
Increase in strength and overall confidence to complete the activities in each session which has definitely helped my post-pregnancy self esteem. Also more positive body image as I have been able to see what my body is capable of. The way in which Julie teaches the course. The feedback she gives is really positive and she supports you to do each exercise as well as you can to reduce injury risk and build up your strength. Also the wide range of activities each week with some reappearing every so often which allows you to see how you’ve improved.
It has helped me understand exactly what I should be doing. How and when to activate the pelvic floor. I can feel a definite benefit already after only 5 weeks and am truly grateful to both Rachel and Jenny. The feeling of comradeship within the group, and Rachel’s bubbly and helpful way of dealing with any issues we have with our health.
“It really made me realise that I’m not the only person trying to cope with stress incontinence and it’s a lot more common than I thought.
Quite soon after starting the course and doing my homework I started to notice a difference for example running upstairs and not ‘leaking’ .
Preparing to lift heavy items and not leaking!” “The freedom in which we could talk about our own problems/ concerns easily, without feeling any awkwardness,
Rachel was always there to talk to, answer questions and help us and absolutely nothing was too much trouble,
I feel proud that I’ve achieved the small change that I have, with Rachels tuition, support, and encouragement I will definitely carry on building on my new strength!
I’ve hauled my Pelvic Floor out of the basement and the only way is up from now on!!!”
It was excellent! I now see the benefits of breathing in all tsks. I have noticed an improvement in feeling the exercises. I have an with out weeing myself! Amd have increased core strength The openness of the class. All being in the same boat. Joan taking the time to explain everything and figure out problems . A better understanding of my body
It’s been hugely beneficial. Alix has given me the knowledge and the exercises I need to help me achieve the core and pelvic floor I had before child birth, something which I thought had gone forever!! I enjoyed meeting other women in similar positions- it’s great to feel that you’re not alone! I loved our weekly classes-it was real ‘me’ time, and Alix always made them relaxing and enjoyable! I also loved the little treats Alix gave us- she really spoilt us!
made me feel stronger, and eased hip pain i’ve been suffering from. its also helped my mindset get back in line with becoming fitter and healthier having some ‘me’ time!
Much more engagement with my core Different exercises that were low impact but effective
My (lower) tummy is firmer. I feel more connection with my Core and pelvic floor and I feel more confident about attempting various exercises again and that I would be able to apply the principles I’ve learned. The weekly class. It was some time out for me.
My core is definitely strengthened and I am much more aware of my pelvic floor during day to day activities and can now do the exercises properly. The exercise elements of the class and learning ways to use resistance bands.
My diastasis has become less deep. Jevgenija explained very well how to properly engage the core muscles and gave me exercises that are finally working.
My pelvic floor has got stronger and I” more aware if how to activate it properly. The breathing technique was very useful Very informative and nice to be able to ask questions. Joan is very knowledgable, approachable and understanding.
“Really helped to understand how my poor posture has been contributing to my core weakness and what steps to take to improve this.
Improved posture. Stronger core.” Pip is a great coach. Also enjoyed taking a bit of time out for myself with a friendly group of ladies.
“The course enabled me to focus on healing & strengthening my body after the birth of my 4th child.
I had a large post pregnancy tummy and weighed 11stone. My posture was compromised and my pelvic floor wasn’t reliable. Now I have a flat tummy and my abdominals are more defined. My diastasis is hugely improved and improving all the time. I weigh 9stone 6lb.” The simple exercises and the fact I could do them at home in privacy. The one to one chat with Vivienne about the exercises and how I could improve my nutrition.
The course has almost healed my diastasis. My ‘ mummy tummy’ is significantly reduced and my core much stronger, I feel so much happier and confident in myself. i am eating the right foods now to ensure I stay energised all day long and my digestion is also much improved. This was my 3rd baby and 3rd c-section and the advice on c-scar massage has been invaluable. This has helped so much with the swelling and the tightness of the scar. All the parts were great. I enjoyed getting some time each day just to concentrate on ‘me”, even if it was just for 15mins..!! Also the fact that Kate is fantastic at what she dioes and her down-to-earth approach enables you to feel comfortable talking about such sensitive issues.
“The course has really helped me kickstart a positive change in lifestyle since the birth of my baby daughter. It’s so easy to forget about yourself when you’re trying to get used to being a parent for the first time, but my sessions with Elspeth helped to remind me of the importance of being strong and healthy for the wee one too. I’ve been given the tools to help ensure my own wellness and wellbeing going forward.
I went to Elspeth primarily to help me heal my diastasis recti. Over the 6 sessions I’ve managed to reduce the gap significantly and I notice a visible improvement in the tension around my tummy area. I feel confident and strong enough to return to a fuller exercise programme, knowing that my body is ready.
” “I loved the fact that the programme was tailored to me. Elspeth listened to my particular concerns (or aches and pains!) and adapted the exercises and nutritional advice accordingly. I shall be forever grateful to her for weaning me off my diet coke addiction!
I think the portal is a great support too. The exercise videos and recipe ideas are a fantastic way to keep motivated throughout the course and beyond.
The one-to-one sessions were relaxed and relaxing: the course felt like a really positive way to get some ‘me’ time. I now feel motivated and well equipped to continue with all the good work on my own.”
The course was perfect for me, a busy mum of three ! It allowed me the right amount of time with Rachel in person and the constant support via email and text was perfect ! I had separation and a umbilical hernia that was popping out, I kept to Rachel’s plan and online support and did all the exercises and strengthening and within the 6 weeks, I have reconnected my pelvic floor and lost the bluge of the hernia, I’ve really been able to strengthen my core and hold myself properly ! Strengthening exercises ! They really helped me get connected to my core. The support from Rachel was fantastic.
The course was very beneficial – helped me to understand the need for pelvic floor exercises and how to engage in them. I think my posture has improved, I’ve become more toned and developed a lot more muscle. “I like the group camaraderie. If someone has a problem it’s usually shared in the group and then someone else will pipe up with the same issue so one answer / explanation from Julie can help everyone.
Julie is an excellent personal trainer and gives a lot of one to one attention to ensure everyone obtains the best from each exercise. She’s very motivational, inspirational and is happy to talk openly about post-natal issues and so puts everyone at ease. She makes the class fun too!”
“The course was very inspiring and encreased my general motivation in improving my general fitness and wellbeing. I am getting into a healthy routine and my mind has now switched on the need amd benegit of regular excercise, fitness and healthy eating.
I am becoming more aware of my core muscles and they are getting stronger thanks to the excercises i have learned. This is helping with my posture and giving support to my lower back.” “Our coach Alexandra is very committed dedicated caring and always available to help and offer advice. I loved her teaching style and i would reccomand to anyone.
I also enjoyed the range of resoources i could access online including the homework excercises videos and information about healthy eating.
I also enjoyed working in a small group and get attention, feedback.
The holistic core restore class along with the chiropractic treatments have helped reduce and ease the pain that I was suffering in my left hip. The class has been helpful to my core and I shall endeavour to carry on with the exercises that I have learnt. The excercises and Emma’s advice.
The main benefit is becoming so much more aware of my body as a whole and by isolating my core and using it efficiently I’m taking the strain away from vunerable areas such as my back and knees. I have definitely seen a marked improvement in both areas – plus posture! In comparison with previous exercise courses I’ve been on Michele was very measured and gentle with her approach explaining everything carefully which allowed me to absorb it at my own pace. I came away each session relaxed and much more supple.
“This course amplified much of what I already knew about caring for my pelvic floor and abdominal core. The exercises very very specific and targetted exactly the areas needing work. the connections within the body especially form the floor up were well explained and Elspeth took time to make sure we were all “”engaged”” with our bodies before starting exercise. I have rethought my breathing patterns and co-ordinated them with the exercises for maximum effect. I will be carrying theese into my usual program.
” “Connecting with my body is a slightly differently way. Also the small grouping allowed for the coach to correct errors in posture, movement etc quickly so that we were all practising correctly
This course has given me the tools to look after my pelvic floor and core health. As well as strengthening these areas, I also feel like my posture is better and my overall body shape is improving. I have also learnt some tools for looking after all of me…better nutrition, planning, relaxing. I enjoyed all of it but I think the weekly task was very effective. It made sure that I properly considered and made some sort of change based on the weekly class discussion.
This course has really helped me feel a better connection with my pelvic floor and core. I feel I now have improved reflexes to coughs and sneezes and can feel my pelvic floor activating during exercises (such as squats). I have also noticed improved toning of my stomach muscles. I foresee continued improvement over the coming weeks. I liked the whole body approach to this course and the information provided about other factors (e.g. diet, stress, etc.) that can impact the pelvic floor. The descriptions and demonstrations of the exercises were very clear and Joan was extremely helpful in checking correct positioning throughout the exercises. The ongoing access to the online information will be beneficial in the weeks following the end of the course.
Working on my core and pelvic floor. Michele was very supportive throughout, sending pdfs and advice via email and text. Light hearted and lovely group of ladies.
“Yes very beneficial. I have noticed my core is stronger. I feel more in control of my eating habits and I definitely learned a lot about nutrition, essential oils etc.
I have lost 3KG since doing the course, which I wasn’t trying to do at all and I definitely put this down to some of the changes Erica made. i.e. Less bread, more low GI, less sugar, less caffeine, more veggies etc. I feel like the course has given me a really good kick up the bum to improve some things in my diet. I have also naturally incorporated the exercises into my cool down routine after tennis, so it is really easy to remember. I do them 4 times a week now and will carry on with this forever (i hope). ” I loved it all. The exercise, the chat, the tea, the snacks. I miss it!
Yes, I definitely made me more aware of my core and pelvic floor and how to strengthen on a daily basis through exercise or just day to day. I was struggling before hand to get the motivation to do it but also how to do it. I attend Pip’s hiit classes and really like her style of motivation and encouragement. She exclaimed all the techniques really well and made it fun. Nice relaxing environment.
Yes. My concern was Diastasis Recti and Kate took time to help me specifically rectify and monitor this area. I was happy with my PF, but my core was weak and I have seen an improvement in both. I have a PF of steel now. Kate is inspirational. Very positive, very understanding and goes the extra mile to keep in contact with the class. Her daily encouragement was key to me remembering to do my homework! Also loved the food and juice treats!!
“My stomach muscles feel stronger and the bulge has reduced significantly.
Has helped in general posture correction as well and I feel more flexible.” “Michele is a fantastic instructor and her approach is very focussed. I have loved every minute of the programme.
The exercises suggested to me were the ones which worked the most for me. We did push ourselves to do a bit more every time but the program on its own wasn’t tiring at all. So even after the session you had the energy to manage kids well.
I could weave in exercises into my routine and they significantly helped by correcting my posture, breathing etc .”
Yes. Increased awareness or core muscles. It is helping to reduce my tummy gap and improving my posture and strength. Pip helped me to build the exercises into daily life. Her energy and positivity were very encouraging particularly when I lost motivation!
I have gained greater core strength and awareness of my body, posture and movements, especially whilst caring a baby! My abs are almost back in place!! My belly is slowly reducing!! “I really enjoyed the 1-2-1 aspect of it and tailor made exercises. Michelle is a brilliant coach and always has handy tips! My favourite being the one about massaging the c section scar which I wish id known after my first c section.
The exercises, tips and recipes on the website are also brilliant. ”
I have done pilates since I was 22 and 12 weeks after having my 2nd C-section I realised when sitting in a chair that I couldn’t engage my stomach muscles at all. There was a little at the top and bottom but nothing in the middle and my back was in bits it just hurt all over from carrying the baby etc. After doing the 6 week Core Restore course and homework exercises 4 times a week I now have my stomach muscles back and can engage them and the best bit is my back pain has now gone. I liked the fact that the sessions were 1:1 so Sue could concentrate on me and make sure I was doing everything correctly. I also liked the fact that I could ask lots of questions and see the progress of my stomach muscles coming back. It is a fantastic course as well as the exercises there was also comprehensive dietary and nutritional advice and I now fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans. I would really recommend Core Restore.
The Course has helped me to understand what exercises I can safely perform. I was already pretty aware of what didn’t feel good but struggled to find what was okay. I have a stronger connection to the pelvicfloor now and more awareness of needing to relax it as well as work it. I enjoyed Carolines total enthusiasm for the subject matter and honest, open and approachable manner. She really is the right woman for the job! I enjoyed being with people who understand the issues I face. And I enjoyed exercising safely.
“Yes, it’s been great. Gave me the kick up the backside I needed to look at my diet again.
And to give me the confidence to start exercising.
I have lost a few pounds and loving eating beautiful food again.
I also have noticed a difference in my pelvic floor. I can feel it’s working again. Still a way to go, but this was the education I needed. ” “The motivation of being in a group was great.
The education about your pelvic floor too.
“Stronger pelvic floor that activates now when I need it to.
A flatter and more toned tummy.
I lost weight even though that wasn’t my intention. ” “Exercising with a group of ladies all with the same challenges and motivations
I thought the nutrition side might frustrate me being told what I should / shouldn’t be eating, but I took away tips that I felt I could apply to my diet and feel much better for it”
My lower back pain is significantly better, I’ve lost weight, tightened up my core, made good healthy food changes and exercise more regularly. Couldn’t be more pleased. A great group of like minded women chatting and exercising and learning together and supporting each other too.
Really helped me focus on how to improve core strength & in an achievable way.
Much more strength felt and I know what needs to be done so hope to keep it up.” “The treats and sleep at the end of the session! :o)
And Rachel’s easy and approachable, positive Mannor.”
“By targeting specifically the pelvic floor in the exercises, quite quickly the symptoms I had been experiencing were reduced in severity. The whole body emphasis on the exercises, especially covering
the back strengthening and posture were definitely beneficial. ” The fact that the exercises were beneficial. The provision of bands etc., and the ‘treats’ which helped to make it seem less impersonal than it might have been. The venue was very good.
“It rebuilt strength in my core and strengthened my pelvic floor to improve a prolapse.
I now feel like I am much better prepared for returning to work (as a dance and PE teacher) and have a better awareness of what I should and shouldn’t do to ensure my prolapse doesn’t get worse.” The non judgemental supportive setting. The variety of information and topics covered on how to improve general health and wellbeing
It’s given my self confidence a major boost. Its also greatly reduced the pain I’m in daily loads. Definitely reducing the pain but also being able to share and discuss any issues with others in similar situations and having someone who can advise you on how to improve whilst understanding what you are going through.
My posture is so much better. My energy, confidence, general outlook on life. I am very excited to see where my body can take me. I’ve lost 5 kgs combining the course with walks and healthy eating. I’ve also learned a lot from Rebecca through her end of session talks. Everything!! I could be here all day 😊. Most of all I found Rebecca to be very motivating. She makes you feel very comfortable and is great source of information. I like to know the why’s of everything and she provides no problem.
It was extremely beneficial. After the birth of my twins, I struggled to eat healthily at all and with a toddler in tow had very little time for me. I was hardly exercising as I lacked motivation and just didn’t know where to start. I was also surviving off 4/5 cups of coffee a day with sugar! Over these last 6 weeks, I’ve stopped drinking coffee and I’m eating amazingly healthy but tasty food. My skin has improved, I have more energy and I’ve lost a stone in weight!! It has been life changing for me! Apart from Anna’s enthusiasm…..finding out what healthy meals she cooks for her family has been great soyou can get the family involved. Having the support of the other girls on the course too was just brilliant!
“It has addressed my need to strengthen my shoulders, lower back and hips and provided me with the exercises to continue working on these areas and my core.
I have noticed an improvement already.” “The personal attention, the explanations, the exercises and our excellent coach, Ellie.
Also the equipment being supplied as part of the course.”
“I used to always get up an hour after getting into bed to go to toilet, this rarely happens now.
I also learned new ways to add pelvic floor exercises into my day to day life.
I feel I have more control over my bladder now.” The best part about the course has to be the top teacher Ellie who was a great instructor! She really pushed us hard and kept us motivated the whole time. It was my first time doing a pelvic floor class and I learned a lot from it.
“To help with urge incontinence.
The course has made me aware of how important these exercises are to do on a regular basis and taught me how to do them properly together with the correct breathing. It has definitely helped me to control my bladder and I will now do them for life. ” “Erica was a brilliant coach and made you feel very relaxed. I enjoyed everything about the course and it has made me aware of my overall health , my eating habits, looking after myself , cooking healthily.
THe classes were friendly, fun and informative and Erica was understanding and caring and always had time to answer any questions. ”
Improved pelvic floor. No longer feel the need to pop to the loo ‘just in case’. I enjoyed the camaraderie and the staged exercises so that I felt each week was a progression. Lifestyle advice.
“Learnt excercises to carry out daily
Nutrition advice helpful
Met other lovely women and shared experiences
Made me think about increasing my daily excercise
Made me take time out for myself and to put myself first for an hour or so a week ” “Listening and learning from Erica who is an inspirational trainer. She always made us feel relaxed and listened to .
Content of course always interesting .
Reduction in diastasis size, all the information I need to continue improving diastasis and pelvic floor muscles in a supportive environment The support of everyone in the class and the attitude that this is the start of a journey
I joined the course to improve my overall core/pelvic floor since having a baby. Although I initially thought that 6 weeks of ‘homework’ was going to be quite a challenge to get done I always found a few minutes in the day to get the exercises completed. The whatssap group was very encouraging and a great incentive to really focus on the exercises and nutrition. My pelvic floor is so much stronger as a result & I have so much more energy since really focusing on eating a more balanced and healthy diet. My overall Core also feels much stronger. “The support and encouragement through the course has been great. I really enjoyed being a part of the whatssap group to bounce ideas for meals/recipes etc. Having an hour to myself one evening a week was great. So much so that I have signed up for the next course, Heat.
The little treats at the end of each session was a lovely touch & a very nice surprise after an hours work out. ”
The course has been amazing. It has toned my core (reduced my mummy tummy), improved my pelvic floor and completely got rid of my constipation. I was using stool softeners before but dont need them any more. The change in diet has sorted that out completely. I have also had more energy, despite having a 10 month old and not getting much sleep. I particularly enjoyed the nutrition part. I have always been a very active person so i am used to exercising. But I have never paid real attention to what I am eating. I always ate relatively healthily but the course has really helpful in teaching me how to eat better. As a result, our meals are now more interesting as we had got into a bit of a rut with food. I thought Anna’s commitment to the whatsapp group was amazing and invaluable.
“The information, guidance and support provided on nutrition was excellent! I managed to alter my eating habits quickly and easily.
My main aim was to sort my tummy muscles, which didn’t change much at all. However, my pelvic floor strengthened dramatically. A cough and cold in week 6 certainly put it to the test!!!!!” Social element was great. The What’s App group set up by Anna was invaluable and such a good motivator to stay on track with both food and exercise.
Learning about how the pelvic floor works and how it interacts with other muscle groups was very interesting and has helped me understand the pressures put on that region when exercising. Learning how to engage the right muscles had definitely helped me when lifting things or sneezing! I am looking forward to starting running again soon and i am hoping that by practicing the exercises whenever possible will put an end to leakage whilst running. Everything really! It gave me a renewed incentive to think about my diet, cut down on sugar, eat more greens! The exercise routes are easy to follow and good fun. Most of all was the cameraderie and support of the group expertly lead by Caroline. With her relaxed and fun approach to a subject that until recently has only been talked about in whispers, she fostered an environment where the whole group had a secure place to discuss the issues we were all dealing with.
Establish core stability better understanding of pelvic strengthening. Have much better posture. Excercises, learning to relax. Group friendship
It got me to think about my body and to stretch and exercise and to engage with my pelvic floor Probably the stretching
“Yes, I have lost weight and significantly reduced my ‘oops’ moments (just occasional now).
Overall I have more awareness of my core and how it works and feel more in control/have the knowledge to do something about my pelvic floor.” “Understanding the reasons behind the exercises.
Interaction with others/sharing of knowledge/experience.”
“Allowed me to focus on my core and engage with my pelvic floor in a positive way.
I have now adapted how I lift and carry day to day and have seen a narrowing of my diastasis over the 6 weeks.
The nutrition and well being elements were helpful to make me focus on those elements too. ” The class setting, as not only was the exercise beneficial but it was good to meet new people and get their ongoing support.
I have seen an increased strength in my lower back which has caused me issues for a long time, and was predominantly my reason for joining the course. Getting together with other ladies, the exercises and the treats!!
Feel focused on engaging my core and pelvic floor and feel stronger through it. Also focused on nutrition and making time for myself. Have lost weight and feel stronger as a result Having specific time set aside for me. Lovely group of ladies and was so nice to receive little gifts during the course to enable me to have ‘me’ time
The course was so much more than I was expecting, some excellent but simple nutrition advice, support and advice all week and the weekly meeting. In just a few short weeks I’ve seen a huge improvement in my size, my attitude, and my strength. I’m delighted The group is lovely and small and everyone encouraged each other along the way, Alix is fantastic 🙂
I would never have changed my diet or understood the importance of it in relation to my healing. I wouldn’t have been disciplined or knowledgable about the important specific exercises to aid healing. I’ve really changed bad habits since pregnancy towards eating which has meant I’ve lost weight and look and feel lots brighter and lighter! I feel like a huge weight is off my shoulders and it’s that luck of confidence i had which was actually stopping me from sorting myself out. It’s been brilliant. “Speed of progress
I also thought it was tremendous value for everything g that was included. ”
I have a thinner tummy. My tummy muscles are closer together, I have more energy and the best thing is my back doesn’t take as much. Everything
“My core feels much stronger than it was . I also feel I can hold my pelvic floor for longer and have the “”tools”” to make it even better .
” “I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere that Claire provided and the small group we had which made it more personal . I also liked the fact there were different activities each week i.e. The juices and meditation week .
I think the meditation week was the one I enjoyed most . Claire made it cosy and warm , she even provided blankets !
Claire is a great teacher , she does all the moves with you and is constantly checking you are doing it right. ”
I am now a lot more conscious of my posture and also remembering to lift my pelvic floor when exhaling in day to day life. I feel my PF is already a lot stronger. Eliza is very knowledgeable and easy-going and willing to give extra tuition/advice.
Nice to be in a class environment with other ladies all looking to improve pelvic floor area. Classes were at a good pace and I liked it that Emma did the class with us. Learning when to breath when exercising was beneficial. Learning exercises specifically beneficial to improving pelvic floor muscles. I like that I have the link to the homework forever.
Learnt how to do pelvic floor exercises correctly. The exercises and nutrition information
Brilliant for toning up my pelvic floor and general strengthening of my core following 2 children. I feel like my body is much closer to how it was before I had children in terms of general muscle tone. The gentle introduction to exercise – having time in there to relax and do some lovely stretches and not feeling like I’m burning out on hardcore exercise.
“Hannah is an excellent core restore coach.
Straight away I felt very relaxed and at ease with her talking about my diastasis and weak bladder problems.
With her wealth of knowledge and great communication skills I feel I have benefitted immensely.
Using the exercises regularly she has taught me, I finally have a flatter stomach and understand what not to do
when I’m exercising.
She cares deeply and is very passionate about what she does . ” “Her friendliness and understanding of something that has troubled me for a long time.
Also her knowledge.
The environment/ ambience, a beautifully relaxed room to exercise in. ”
I have gained more confidence in connecting with my body again after giving birth. I have seen my core become more engaged in every day activities and feel that it has become more toned. I can also now feel a stronger connection and control with my pelvic floor- after a physio appointment I was also told that my pelvic floor was very good which I’m sure before the course wouldn’t have been the case. A chance to have a bit of ‘me’ time and feel that I’m improving my core strength after loosing it all through pregnancy. I liked the ideas and goodies given for nutrition and relaxation! The videos online were also a great reminder in the week.
Working through the course has really helped me to actually feel my pelvic floor – something I struggled to do before. Understanding the connection of breathing and stomach muscles with my core and pelvic floor has enabled me to become more connected with them and I am able to exercise the area much more effectively. Joan was great to spend time with. She made the classes informal and fun. I liked that it is was just a small group.
“It has noticeably improved the strength of my pelvic floor muscles and connection with other muscles.
I hadn’t been doing much exercise before doing the course and was hoping that it would ease me back into regular exercise, which it has done. ” “The small class size enabled open discussion in a friendly environment – I chatted about pelvic floor ‘issues’ and felt able to ask anything without feeling judged or too embarrassed.
As well as learning and doing the exercises, it was great to learn a lot more from Joan about nutrition and general health. I have already put some of the tips into practice and aim to do more. ”
Smaller gap, stronger muscles, back pain and occasional urinary incontinence gone. The variety of exercises and opportunity to do the online homeworks
It hugely improved my stomach toning. My gap decreased from 2 fingers to 1. The tummy bloating has Improved significantly. My tummy is a lot flatter and feels stronger. I also feel my core strength has improved. This in turn has helped my confidence and self esteem. My diet has also improved to include more juices, protein and less gluten. The results. So quick to see the benefits. The exercises are also easy to pick up and acheivable. Pip Skinner was a fantastic trainer, keeping me motivated throughout the course and inspired me to continue with the exercises.
It definitely helped me connect with my core and pelvic floor which I’ve never really tried to do. while doing what seems like simple exercises, when you add in connecting the core and lifting the pelvic floor it’s so much harder but I focus so much more while doing any exercise now. I still have a gap but there is more tension now, just need to keep doing homework. I enjoyed all of it to be honest especially the group I was in. Rachel is great at what she does and takes the time to teach you
Before the course I was really struggling with a prolapse, I’ve now got exercises and strategies to use that I know work. I feel that I am now much stronger – both my pelvic floor and my stomach muscles. I can do things that I didn’t feel able to do before the course – just small things like feeling I can walk further, but that has had a big impact as I can comfortably walk to and from school with my daughter and take her out on more trips. The facebook group with extra videos and recipe tips has also been useful. Having one-to-one sessions tailored to my needs. Sarah was a great coach – really friendly and it was great getting emails from her in between sessions to check on how things were going. I really looked forward to our sessions and hope to do more sessions with her in the future to keep on top of things and stay focussed.
“I was only 4.5 months post natal on finishing the course. I have no gap and I do not “”worry”” when I run / jump / sneeze.
The most important thing to me is knowing from what I learned on the course that other exercise I am doing is safe.” “It was a really good balance of nutrition advice, strengthening and introducing some sweaty exercises.
I really enjoyed working with Sarah. She is extremely knowledgeable both about the course and the workings of the female body (muscles, joints etc) which gave me confidence in her and in what she was teaching me. She took the time to get to know me and reflected this in her comments and suggestions making me feel like she took a genuine interest in my wellbeing.”
My diastasis closed within the six weeks all down to this brilliant course. I feel well on the road to returning to something that looks and feels more like my old body – even after a c section. Michelle taught me how to be gentle with myself whilst still getting results – and I feel far more confident about how to do the right sort of exercise going forwards. Thanks so much! This has been awesome!!
How was the course beneficial to you? What positive results have you seen? * “As a first time mum-to-be it was incredibly useful to hear from other mums and the reasons why they were at the course. It re-enforced the message to exercise the pelvic floor as soon as possible and keep it up throughout my pregnancy. The exercises were explained really clearly by Baz and the course materials were great (i would have been unlikely to go out and buy them otherwise).
I will probably see clearer results after the baby is born, but it’s good to know the what I’m doing now will help afterwards.” What did you enjoy most about the course? The size of the group was good, so you got a more personal session. Baz was a great teacher, very easy to understand, enthusiastic, happy! and on hand to explain any questions.

What did you enjoy most about the course? Sarah is more than fantastic. At no point did I feel any topic was off bounds, a true confidant who helped me see and get in touch with my body. “Without meeting Sarah at Pear Projects, I wouldn’t be reaching the end of 2016 feeling the way I am. I had reached a hurdle in my health, where a previous pelvic floor issue was starting to concern me greatly. A friend of mine who I will always be grateful to told me of Pear Projects, as soon as I emailed Sarah, I knew there was hope. She listened to everything I had to say & got in touch so promptly. After some sessions with Sarah I also started to see a women’s specialist physio therapist. I can safely say that between these two sensational women, my life has been turned around. I have a far better understanding of how my body works & what I need to do in order to look after my health.
For anyone out there who is embarrassed or doesn’t know who to turn to, talk to Sarah at Pear Projects, turn to those that can help. Finding Pear Projects shows me that there is the right help out there, and that these women care deeply about helping you.
If I could scream it from the rooftops I would. Don’t give up hope, don’t just accept your current situation. You cannot put a price on your health & life, we only get one. Things can get better with the right help. I will always be eternally grateful for your time, kindness, support and help. ”

” What did you enjoy most about the course? “The fact that Denise explained everything very clearly. She always explained why we were doing a particular exercise, what effect it should have and how to adapt where necessary. That’s actually quite rare in any exercise class in my experience. I always felt I could ask questions and say if I wasn’t sure about anything.”

My back pain has mellowed since taking the course. I now aim for a healthy size 12 and that is all. What did you enjoy most about the course? What did you enjoy most about the course? “I did it on a 1:1 basis and enjoyed the time out it gave me each week. I also liked the fact I could start it immediately as my pelvic floor and core strength were a real concern to me – information about this had been completely missed out in the antenatal classes I had attended through the NHS & NCT.
I liked the set up of practising the exercises with Claire & then having homework & really getting to grips with them.
Also like the fact that access to the portal continues after the course.” “Amazing course. Tackled issues which are unspoken and overlooked during antenatal classes, but which are key to your health & well being.

What positive results have you seen? * The course helped me reconnect with my deeper pelvic floor muscles, something I hadn’t concretely achieved since having given birth 2 years prior. Additional benefits have included stronger abdominal and upper back muscles, better coordination and a feeling of having a more “integrated” core. What did you enjoy most about the course? Seeing how quickly I could progress thanks to the expert eye of my coach. Had I been working on my own, I would have missed many of the small adjustments and corrections that make all the difference. I have also found working with the resistance bands quite revolutionary! They challenge the muscles at just the right level of difficulty with a minimal risk of injury.

Being able to do the homework with the website is hugely beneficial in keeping up the motivation and effort. The treats that Anna brought each week – huge motivation and encouragement. Getting suggestions from other members of the class. Hugely beneficial, the course is worth every penny. Should be recommended to every woman who has a baby.
After having a third degree tear with my second child I decided I needed to see someone with regards to my pelvic floor.
Hazel has been fantastic; during the sessions we discuss my general well being, she takes me through new exercises in every session and explains the benefits of doing each one, I then do these exercises at least once a day at home.
Feedback on the food diary i hand in is fantastic and has 100% changed the way I eat and my general attitude towards certain foods in a positive way.
Hazel is always on call for questions I may have in between the sessions I have which is really helpful and checks in to to see how I am doing.
Overall since starting with Hazel 6 months ago, I feel energised, recharged, have been sleeping better, feel healthier and have noticed fat loss around my middle.
What did you enjoy most about the course/programme/class?
I have thoroughly enjoyed everything, but the food/nutrition aspect has been of particular interest to me. I enjoy cooking even more now and especially when combined with the exercises I can see results.
How do you think the course/programme/class could be improve in anyway to serve you better?
It’s very hard to think of ways to improve the course since I have found it so worthwhile as it is…!
Any other comments.
I would recommend (and have!) Hazel to anyone looking to invest time in their pelvic floor after having a baby.
My attitude towards my body and my eating habits has changed for the better in the last 6 months – no more silly diets etc, this is a lifestyle change and is something that I can see as part of my regular day to day….eating well, doing exercises regularly.
Can’t thank Hazel enough!
Would you recommend this programme, to anybody else in the similar situation as you? YES
” The course has started to embed a routine which is a foundation for greater fitness. I think it is a great step after having children to getting fit , but one which is not an obvious first step before the first session. I also think whatever age or length of time since having children it is something that any mother will benefit from. The exercises I have for life and I will be sharing them with my daughter.
Thankyou. ” ” simplicity of the exercises , and that they are there as a menu for us to use now and in the future. deals with an issue that isn’t really well dealt with ,it would normally be an embarrassing topic. The course deals with it powerfully without embarrassment.
“*much more connection to right muscles
*more stability generally but also when exercising
*more hope that things can improve
*Eliza is fab – genuinely wanted to help
Aside from the obvious physical benefits of reengaging with my pelvic floor and getting back into the habit of thinking about my core stability and learning to get my core and pelvic floor working together, the mental benefits of going out to the class once a week and doing something for myself, rather than being child-centered, has been amazing! My daughter is now 13 weeks old, 6 weeks when I started the course, and I was able to bring her with me and attend to her around the exercises etc without any problems. Rachel was really supportive and even had a few cuddles with her so I could concentrate on the exercises and get the most out of the class. The warm, friendly, no-pressure approach Rachel has with her clients is fantastic. I never once felt uncomfortable or judged but at the same time she is able to encourage you to make the most of the classes and the exercises you are doing and to push yourself that little bit harder without going too far.
During the course I have learnt a lot about how different elements of core work together and have gained increased awareness of my posture. I have also made substantial changes to my and my families diet. Thanks to Baz’ very practical advice I have found it very easy to integrate the exercises as well as eating well into my daily life. The diastasis has improved meaningfully within 3 months after birth and as a result I feel much stronger and better equiped for lifting the kids and doing other daily activities. Whilst the pelvic floor continues to be weak, I believe I have also made some improvement there and the course has provided me with knowledge and exercises that will allow me to continue to work on improving the pelvic floor over the coming months. The holistic approach covering exercises, diet and lifestyle and working with Baz who is extremely knowledgeable, excellent in motivating and had a lot of really useful practical advice for me!
Fantastic results from the very beginning. Back pains greatly improved from day 1. Getting out!
“Following the intense 6 week programme under the guidance of passionate leader, Baz Moffat, I have been able to significantly reduce lumbar lordosis and minimise diastasis recti. I have learnt that there are simple, time effective solutions to regaining pelvic floor strength once again.
A realisation that it isn’t necessary to ‘put up’ with classic female post pregnancy aches and pains and sneezy peas.
” “Dedicating some time to personal wellness away from my daily routine and children!
Putting in place with Baz a realistic wellness strategy that goes beyond just exercise and my belly! ”
Have only done double unders once since taking the course, but did not seem to have any leaking. Hope it’s the same during an intensive workout. I feel like it strengthened my core.
I feel a lot more connected with my pelvic floor and core. It was great to learn lasting techniques to maintain my core and pelvic floor strength. I liked the simplicity of the exercises and the fact that they are effective yet do not take a huge amount of time. I am a mother of three and so am time limited!
“I feel as though my pelvic floor is stronger and the heaviness I feel due to my prolapse has lessened. I can now walk for longer before I feel the dragging session. I hope that by keeping up with the exercises,my strength will continue to build.
As an additional benefit, my stomach is now flatter and I lost the little amount of extra baby weight I was still carrying. ” “Ultimately I have enjoyed my pelvic floor strengthening – it was affecting my mood as I was not as active as I’d like to be because of it. I enjoyed exercising again without feeling I was negatively impacting on my pelvic floor. I also enjoyed the time to myself the course gave me. I was able to have an hour a week dedicated to me and 20 minutes each evening set aside to do my homework. With an 7 month old, that was bliss!
Anna was a lovely coach and had the right level of empathy combined with a motivational ‘get on and do this’ attitude. The gifts at the end of each session were a lovely addition.”
I feel much healthier and more energised , it has helped me a lot with my diet and stopping my 20-30 cups of coffee a day habit and eating chocolate for lunch instead of food ! I enjoyed the exercises and for the first time actually knowing what the pelvic muscles felt like and that there are 4 sides and not just one ! Anna made the classes fun and has been very encouraging and helpful .
I found the course beneficial in more ways than I expected as I initially thought that it was just exercises for the core. I have found that my core has definitely improved and I am not so worried about unexpected leaks. I like the fact we were given all the information and can still access the information to carry on improving. I liked the fact the classes were not too big and all the extra information on other topics. I also liked the exercises not being too much and manageable for all and you didn’t have to be used to exercise. I found Erica’s style was friendly and open. Always willing to help not only during the classes but also outside the classes and was willing to help out with any queries.
Improved theoretical and practical awareness of physiology, nutrition. the feeling that there various options open to me and I may have the power to prevent surgery via exercise.
Increased pelvic floor awareness and control and understanding of the need for lifelong pelvic exercises! Group classes
Insightful nutrition information, made me think about time for me, improved core strength and pelvic floor strength. I also lost some weight, felt less bloated and improved posture. The nutrition and fitness sections. The feeling of all of us being together with a similar aim.
IT HELPED ME TO MOVE MY BODY MORE BECOMING LESS TENSE AND ALSO SEEMS TO HAVE TIGHTENED THE CORE MUSCLES. GETTING BACK TO EXERCISE WHEN I HAD GIVEN UP DUE TO A BAD KNEE.
It kick started me on to my weight loss mission and my diastasis went pretty much back to normal during the process too. Also given me back some self worth and now i want to get my health and fitness back. I enjoyed being 1-1 personally motivated, i felt like Erica really got to know me and i trusted her. Also loved the relaxation sessions at the end of the nutrition/excersises….a nice treat when you have a young baby.
“It was fantastic.
Learned how to breathe
Understand my core much better and what to eat to help
My tummy and core have all connected again – can control my tummy now – not been able to do this in 6 years, can pull it it, move it, tighten it.
Had no lower back pain since started the core exercises – wonderful 😀
Better posture in the shoulders, less neck and shoulder pain
Eating much healthier and enjoying it
” “Core restore coach home visit – very personal and exercises for my needs
Loved all 6 weeks – Thursday night classes – Great boost for me getting stronger, motivating me to do more of the exercises, variations.
Nice to meet a group of fellow ladies and to talk to them, realise not just me with problems
Portal HW very effective as I could access it and do it daily when it suited me. Great differentiated HW videos as I could measure my progress. Struggled with HW 1 at the beginning but now on HW 3.
Portal videos about health and recipes – all significant for my learning process and very helpful.
Liked the healthy snacks at the end of the sessions and the meditation. Felt good, a treat for me, positive mindset.
Liked the bag of goodies – motivating and set a life pattern/ routine for me as I will keep using them.
My coach Elspeth was lovely, friendly, welcoming and motivating. Thank You it’s very much appreciated.”
Less ‘latchkey’ moments and also a flatter stomach more than 9 years after having my youngest ! The regular classes – time to myself of an evening once a week, coming back feeling like I focused properly. Eliza was great at helping me visualise and so target the muscle movement correctly
More aware about my pelvic floor muscles, and how to activate them. Learning the exercises that activate my pelvic floor.
Much more able to engage with my pelvic floor feel like my core strength exercises are much more effective and easier to do The variety of exercises
Much stronger pelvic floor according to my physio – the course helped me focus so much more on both areas but in particular pelvic floor and I’m much more confident about continuing the work on my own now whereas before I let the exercises slide. I’m really pleased I made the effort to properly work on getting back in shape post baby as its really easy to ignore, but now I know it is possible and what I can do, I feel much more confident about things. All the different aspects to it , it really did make me think about looking after myself more, I didn’t quite appreciate the impact keeping healthy had on your gut and so on so j also learnt a lot too.
My diastasis has improved, my pelvic floor has strengthened and my belly has toned slightly so clothes are more comfortable. Claire was very motivational though not pushy. My rheumatoid arthritis limits some of what I can do but I still felt each week that I was achieving something as my homework was tweaked to suit me perfectly. She made it interesting and enjoyable. I was slightly dreading doing it after signing up but after my first class I actually looked forward to seeing Claire each Friday. Loved the treats she made me too! Excellent tutor!
“Really beneficial. Seen physical changes such as losing 3cm around tummy and hips. Core tension has improved and my pelvic floor is getting stronger. Lost 5lbs as an extra bonus!
Overall it is helping me make positive changes which are becoming a habit. They are exercises that I can maintain in the long term and I’ve learnt the importance of making this a habit. Every woman who has given birth should have access to this! ” “Regular motivation from Alix, completely personalised to me.
Exercises have been really enjoyable too.”
Restoring discipline and reflection. Prioritising time for me. Looking at “the whole picture”. New thoughts on nutrition. I now have a definite connection to my pelvic floor and am consciously aware of working on my posture. As above. Baz is very friendly and approachable whilst being extremely knowledgeable and evidence based.
Some improvement in pelvic floor Baz has a very constructive and positive approach. It’s great that the programme looks at nutrition, rest etc. as well as exercise.
“The course gave me a chance to focus on myself a bit and look after myself. I started the course 11 weeks after the birth of my second daughter, so this time was much needed!
I have seen and improvement in the strength of my core and pelvic floor as well as more stability in my energy levels. I feel a lot more balanced and this is down to the exercises and the nutrition guidance. I’ve also lost weight (I’ve never had so many comments!).” I enjoyed the routine of the course and the easy to do exercises. I now feel confident continuing the exercises at home. Alix is a great teacher, helping me to get the exercises right and full of lots of practical advice. The gifts were lovely too!
“The course gave me specific exercises for my diastis recti as well as information on how to help the healing through nutrition and lifestyle changes.
Also, It was great to get exercises for my pelvic floor which also helped posture and upper body.” I enjoyed doing all the exercises in class – it was always a very fast hour.
The course has really helped me, both physically and emotionally. Since starting, I have noticed that my pelvic floor is definitely stronger. I am not in any discomfort and can no longer really feel my prolapse on a daily basis, which is much improved since I started the course. I have also received a lot of positive encouragement from Hannah and it has been really good having someone to talk to. Hannah has not only been an excellent coach but a very good sounding board, and she has been very open in sharing her experiences with me too. I really appreciated the hour each week to focus on my exercises, and the progression of exercises worked well through the course, I will miss the sessions!
“The course taught me to reconnect with my pelvic floor and lower tummy muscles. Before the course I hadn’t realised I wasn’t engaging these properly anymore since giving birth which was bad news for my wellbeing. The exercises were easy to follow with a bit of practise and quick and easy to do most days in ten minutes. Each day I was feeling stronger and stronger and my tummy was getting flatter and flatter, which was very exciting as after having a 9lb 10 baby I thought I’d look pregnant forever. The exercises have also taught me to engage my pelvic floor and lower tummy muscles when I pick up heavy items and my baby, and during other exercise which is making me stronger. At the beginning of the course I was still pulling myself up from bed by holding onto the side! I now leap out of bed like I did pre baby!
On top of the exercises the nutritional tips and other health tips have been great. I’ve baked some of the recipes on Joan’s website and its inspired me to eat healthier. I found doing the course just made me want to make healthier choices, it kept me focused and I have lost about 5 lbs in six weeks! People comment on how I’m looking slimmer and losing the baby weight.
I personally don’t feel there is enough support for women post natally and that this course and the content should be provided to all women so that they can recover physically and protect their bodies for the future. I do think the course is a real investment into yourself after going through pregnancy and child birth and worth every penny. It’s given me skills for life which will help me to look after my body. ” “It was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere which I looked forward to every week. I think you need that after having a baby, not just an exercise class where no one talks and no one understands the stresses of life after having a baby.
I looked forward to the little extras like trying juices and herbal teas. It takes you out of your ordinary way of living and introduces you to new things that you can incorporate into your life.
Being given the bands and balls to use everyday at home is great as you feel you have the equipment to do the exercises properly whenever you want. Being able to refer to the online homework is great too in case your baby brain means you forget exactly how to do the exercises sometimes! ”
The course was fantastic. It was fun and fresh and extremely beneficial. Before I began the course I had terrible back pains and now with the help of my core work and pv muscles the pain has lessened to a bearable ammount. Getting to meet other women who have just had children and learning how to take care of my body pre and post baby.
“Very beneficial. Excellent classes & on line homework/ tutorials.
The exercises have clearly made a difference to my muscle tone.
Pelvic floor work has made positive difference to my pelvic floor muscles” Class once a week with Elspeth – she’s a fantastic trainer. We were all taken care of as individuals. Her classes were informative, personal, challenging and fun. The “healthy treats” she made every week were delicious too!
“Yes very beneficial.
I have toned up and closing up the diastasis gap.
Learnt that nutrition is key (although easily said to me) & juicing is great!!
I was previously referred by my midwife to a physio at the local hospital but i honestly felt that Michelle was more informative and shared her knowledge 100%” “Gaining the knowledge from Michelle.
The exercises, how they work and the importance of them. Not only helping me now but later in life.
Being able to do them at home so can fit them in quite easily. ”
The course was exactly what I was looking for. It has given me the knowledge and exercises to improve my core and pelvic floor strength, now I just need to keep doing it! Rachel made an awkward subject really comfortable and the classes were fun and interesting. I really enjoyed the holistic approach of the course, that it wasn’t just about exercise but also nutrition, self care, relaxation. The balance of exercise, relaxation and education was excellent. Also, the contact throughout the week was invaluable.
I found the information about nutrition very beneficial. I loved the variety of exercises that Sue did with us, including ones with the different bands and the balls. I found the exercises were great for helping with my diastasis and strengthening my core. The variety of exercises. I feel more confident now in doing exercises at home on my own and feel that I am doing them correctly. I like that Sue pays individual attention to the participants and comes round to check positioning etc and guides each of us to do the exercises correctly.
A reduction in the gap between my tummy muscles and improved pelvic floor strength, as well as a visible reduction in my waistline. Seeing the results which were pretty speedy!
Very beneficial. Diastasis closed slightly but more importantly my core became stronger. I also realised how ‘stuck’ my breath was and that everything needseems to be incorporated in order for it to heal further. The support between sessions and the online videos to watch and follow as homework. Alix was also very knowledgeable too.
“Increase in positive mindset towards my body
Realisation hard quick n high impact exercises are not always best ones
Confidence that I am not alone in how I feel or how my body is after baby” “Pace of exercises
Regular messages of support from Rachel
Online homework doesn’t take long to do”
“It was beneficial as it gave practical help for my weak pelvic floor that could be incorporated in day to day life.
Generally just feel more confident in that whole area.” The classes, social aspect meeting people with the same issue so we could encourage each other.
Leaking is improved since attending the course. Greater awareness of posture. much happier with how I am using my body, correcting my posture and conducting my exercise regime to remove strain from my body and release pelvic floor and general tension. Getting all together on a Wednesday evening to relax, discuss our progress and focus entirely on our own well being.
“The course has been hugely beneficial for me – not just in terms of sorting my diastasis physically – but also in terms of confidence, awareness of breathing and posture, and then taking the principles of what Kate has shown me into my own gym sessions/training.
It also feels like what Kate has taught me will now help me moving forward in terms of knowledge – particularly of the breathing techniques – and I will definitely use these forevermore!” “Having Kate on hand was a real help – she is so approachable and knowledgeable, and everything she talked about made sense because she takes the time to explain things, ensures you understand the thinking behind it all, and makes the plan easy to follow.
The course/exercises are also easily transferred in a gym situation – so the fact I could do them at home or in the gym meant there were no excuses not to do them!”
I feel educated! My nutrition has changed for the better which has helped me with other health issues such as dry skin and digestive problems, and I’m also aware of not only how to strengthen my weak core, but how to do it every day. I now think about my posture, setting my core and scooping up in daily tasks and I feel a much stronger connection.. Apart from the little treats Rachel made for us 🙂 … I enjoyed the releases and use them whenever I feel tight. I also liked the conversation that would start at the class but continue through the week on Facebook through messages from Rachel and the online resources.
The course has been incredibly beneficial to me, my pelvic floor and state of mind. I’m an so pleased I’ve been able to take positive action regarding the mild prolapse I suffered after childbirth, something that really upset me after having my son. I have seen improvements in my mood, diet, attitude towards prolapse (I now know I’m not alone!), and physical symptoms. I am able to wear my son in the carrier for short distances without feeling the heaviness I once did and can go for days without noticing my prolapse. And my tummy has de-flabbed a little in addition! I enjoyed the relaxed but motivational nature of the course and Kate’s instruction.

Meeting Denise and learning the core exercises
How was the course beneficial to you? What positive results have you seen? *
I was encouraged to see a physio about my pelvic floor and then was given brilliant advice by Denise based on the outcome of that. She tailored advice to suit my situation and took time out to find solutions.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
Denise was a fab teacher, really explained everything well without overwhelming us or making us feel uncomfortable. She made me feel very comfortable talking about my problems and I’ve learned so much! Wish I could have done this course years ago!
Could the programme be improved in anyway? *
No, I think it’s perfect the way it is. I like the idea of having a one to one before starting the course and learned a lot just from that, it helped break the ice and made me feel comfortable with Denise rather than turning up to a class, not knowing the teacher and talking about your lady bits!!
The course educated me on my pelvic floor muscles, the useful exercises to do at home to keep them strong and it was also fun and uplifting too.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
It was fun being amongst friends and women all in the same boat and being able to talk and exercise freely around a subject we sometimes feel embarrassed, alone in or unable to share and talk about.
What positive results have you seen? *
I am much drier now and am able to ‘hold on’ more easily. I am naturally and more regularly breathing ‘correctly’ throughout the day without forcing myself to think about doing it.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
The friendliness and up-frontness of Eliza. It was really nice to do the course with other ladies in the same situation and to know that weak pelvic floors are very common and that we need to practice strengthening them to keep the muscles working properly.
How was the course beneficial to you? What positive results have you seen? *
The course was excellent. The combination of the weekly 1:1 sessions and online exercises kept my mind focused and Julie tailored each weekly session really well to my individual needs. I have much improved activation of my pelvic floor muscles and core muscles, significantly less pain and improved continence when running now.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
I really enjoyed the 1:1 sessions, Julie was enthusiastic and tailored the sessions to my needs and personality really well. I particularly enjoyed the ‘life coaching’ sessions in addition to the exercises.

What did you enjoy most about the course? *
I enjoyed getting out of the house for me! I also felt the benefit of the weekly class to discuss progress and the exercises.
How was the course beneficial to you? What positive results have you seen? *
The course has helped tighten my pelvic floor muscles so that I now no longer leak when I sneeze! It has also really helped me retrain my bladder so that I am not going to the toilet so frequently and can now wait a lot longer between each visit. Most importantly it allowed me the time and focus that I needed in order to change my own situation.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
Meeting other women who were all in the same boat as me was very beneficial and although I knew I was not alone I had never really talked about it before. Our coach Elspeth was very knowledgable and gave me great advice when needed. My absolute favourite moment however came in week 4-5 when I was able to completely stop my pee mid flow…something I havn’t been able to do for a long time!
How was the course beneficial to you? What positive results have you seen? *
After having my baby last July my pelvic floor had pretty much given up so I was willing to try anything!
I am go glad I came across the Holistic core restore programme. It has given me the focus and skills to improve my pelvic floor while giving me the confidence to get back into exercise. This has in turn helped to improve my overall health and wellbeing
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
I enjoyed attending the weekly class for encouragement and support. Along with the exercises it gave a chance to discuss progress with other class mates and Elspeth. Elspeth was very encouraging and approachable. Always giving helpful tips and weekly healthy treats to give us ideas on how to continue improving our diet.
How was the course beneficial to you? What positive results have you seen? *
The course was beneficial to me in many ways, not just for the reason I signed up for. My original focus was to strengthen my pelvic floor to improve leaking, along with improving my abdominal separation. I’m really pleased to have seen a 1cm reduction in my diastasis. There is a very slight improvement with the leaking and I feel confident that I can build on this by continuing with the exercises. But there have been several additional benefits from following the programme that I had not considered when starting it. My nutrition has improved by making small, simple changes (more water, less sugar) and I’ve seen this in my skin, as I suffer from breakouts, so this has been an added bonus! My posture is better. And what has been surprising is realising my lack of self care. I’ve enjoyed making small changes to improve this like putting down my iPad/iPhone and reading a book before bed.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
I enjoyed many things about the course, particularly the feeling that I was being truly looked after. The small group allowed Alix to really focus on us all individually, yet we always had the support of the group, particularly through the whatsapp forum. Alix did a wonderful job of keeping us motivated with regular messages, plus some brilliant treats each week that felt like a reward, but were also relevant to the nutritional and self care themes we discussed. I also enjoyed the educational part of the course. I feel more informed about the exercises, nutrition and self care that will help me maintain the changes I’ve made so far. And the ten minute videos have made all the homework exercises achievable. I have been able to slot them into my life without any major disruption. Essentially, I feel like I’ve been on a brilliant training course to set me up for life!
How was the course beneficial to you? What positive results have you seen? *
Better understanding of the pelvic floor and how I can improve strength. Also good advice in overall nutrition and health.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
Great course leader. Very approachable and friendly. Also very knowledgeable.
Met some lovely people.
Have seen some real improvements in my pelvic floor strength.
How was the course beneficial to you? What positive results have you seen? *
I was quite sceptical before starting the course as to how beneficial it would be but i needn’t have been as it has been fantastic at getting my posture and core strength back working again.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
Anna was really great. Very understanding and made the course very enjoyable. I actually looked forward to going every week and miss the sessions now it has finished.
Flatter stomach, no need for panty liners and back to running!
I feel that my pelvic floor and core are a lot stronger now, I am able to do more things that involve using your core strength, I have more stability when doing exercises on one leg, I feel more confident in doing exercises now that my core is stronger (before i was worried about injury and setting myself backwards), I am more motivated to carry on after seeing the change in my body.
The course was great, acknowledging and addressing the problem that so many women suffer with.. Meeting other women with the same troubles and worries.
The course was beneficial in the fact that I can now pull up my pelvic floor much more naturally and it seems to tighten much much more than it used too. The breathing properly has helped me immensely too.
The whole course was enjoyable, the first lesson of what is happening and has happened to our bodies to be in the problems that we are in was fascinating and then you can realise and u sweat and how to help yourself. The added extra bits on each week was a great bonus.. Loved the whole feeling and vibe of the course, came out each week the most relaxed I’ve been in years, knowing I have done something to help me.
Holistic core release was of HUGE benefit to me! To review the strategies that I learnt during the core restore course was a great reminder! It was a scheduled time each week completely dedicated to self care, self massage, stretching & learning how I could do more to show my body some much needed love! Its got me into a great routine and very mindful that this kind of activity is very important to included in my weekly routine! What a great balance to the stressful lives we live! I learnt SO much about my body and the best ways to release lots of built up tension! Kate is (as always!) such a great coach, she has a wonderful way of teaching in that you feel empowered and like you really ‘get it’!
I had a bad diastasis of 5 fingers. During the 6 weeks it reduced to 2 / 3 fingers.
I can also feel that my pelvic floor is a lot stronger than it was. Michelle is a lovely lady and put me at ease very quickly. The sessions were very informative. I learnt a lot and will be using the techniques for the rest of my life. The nutritional advice was very informative too.
Michelle was brilliant, so passionate and professional. Everything was explained well. Michelle was encouraging and focused. A reduced diastasis . Strengthened pelvic floor, no need to wee in the night any more if I get up to the children!
I found the course to be invaluable in helping me to clearly identify the muscles I need to work with. I have seen a great improvement in my awareness of always “setting” before movement and therefore a greater confidence to exercise without fear.
I did the Release 4 week course and loved it! I have back issues and especially carry a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders. The difference the course made to these niggling pains was remarkable. I have a massage once a month as a remedial measure and my masseur commented on how much better this area was. I went one evening with a very painful foot that I could hardly bare to put pressure on. Kate is excellent at listening to clients’ individual issues and suggesting areas to work on, in this case, my calves, with a foam roller – I was completely pain free the next day! In addition to this, it made me start the week in a much calmer way, I would turn up to the class feeling harassed, with shoulders up to my ears and leave feeling calm and relaxed.
The course demonstrated why it is so important to maintain a strong core and pelvic floor and how to achieve this. I do feel that the exercises in particular have already started to strengthen my pelvic floor and given me more confidence as a result.
The course has helped me FINALLY understand what the core muscles are all about. I came with the hope of strengthening my core to help my back (I have scoliosis). The knowledge I gained from Kate has transformed not just my understanding but also how I approach all exercise now. I am able to do things I avoided in the past due to the resulting back pain. I can now do them relatively pain free and certainly recover much better than in the past. Kate went beyond the course content and gave my some very helpful stretches for the specific area of my back which suffers when I exercise. I felt in very safe hands with Kate and am evangelical about the benefits the course has given me.
Claire has been an absolutely wonderful coach and I would thoroughly recommend her. I loved that the class size was small and in her own home- she has a very warm and upbeat personality and it really was an enjoyable way to spend an evening once a week and getting to know the other ladies on the course.
I hadn’t expected to come away with so many additional benefits from the course and enjoyed the different themes each week, learning and understanding more about nutrition and wellbeing.
I also found the homework videos really helpful and am not sure I would have been able to remember the exercises correctly without them. It’s great that we can access them for life.
The course has been brilliant. I have reached my goal of improving my pelvic floor strength and am no longer having little accidents when I cough, sneeze or run. I have also learnt a lot about my body and how the stomach and glute muscles also help to support the pelvic floor as well as some other general wellness and nutrition tips.
It’s been a really fantastic start for me to get back into doing some exercise after having two children quite close together and feeling as though I had lost all physical confidence and control over my own body!
I have benefitted massively from this course, I feel stronger and Day to day tasks are a lot easier! my posture has improved and my back pain from DR has reduced … wish it was longer than 6 weeks
No leaks after child birth!
I have seen my tummy gap shrink significantly! And I feel more positive about the exercises I do.
A definite improvement in prolapse symptoms and a greater awareness of how to strengthen and protect my pelvic floor in everyday life. I am almost activating it automatically now.
I have noticed an improvement in my bladder control. There has been a improvement in the frequency I need to go to the toilet.
What did you enjoy most about the course? *
It was a very nice social group and Kate was very welcoming and nurturing.
It was tailored to meet my needs and goals. I have more energy and don’t feel so bloated. it looks at your whole lifestyle. I never considered that food could help balance my hormones
Pelvic floor muscles noticeably stronger. Kate was brilliant. I enjoyed everything.
Feel I have benefitted and am more aware now of what I shoudl be doing to keep improving. Will be signing up to another course. having a full hour to do the excerises. Good pace ie, no long waiting between excercises – and nice to try the different bits of food/drinks at end too.
Incredible course. Much stronger core, much stronger pelvic floor, weight loss, toning and closing tummy gap. Meeting Biddie, getting my confidence back, and becoming a new me.
Yes Informal sessions and friendly kate. Reminder texts were also great
Brilliant. Can last longer without going to the toilet. Retraining myself to go when I need not just in case. Feel stronger in my pelvic floor. The group. The laughs. The extras such as The advice for forthcoming baby.
Yes … Learnt how to effectively engage them. Feeling stronger Informative information and the treats at the end!
“Eliza was full of knowledge and helped me to understand my body better.
She was realistic on getting my body ‘back’ before starting more cardio work.
She gave me a greater understanding of building your body back from the inside out.
My pelvic floor has become stronger and my confidence to do more has returned.” “Eliza is full of fun and energy. She made me laugh about issues that in the past had reduced me to tears.
Eliza looks on the positive side of life and I found this very refreshing.
The exercises I was taught and the way they were explained was perfect. I felt a very bespoke service was provided.”
My pelvic floor is without doubt stronger. From week one when I wasn’t even sure if I was even ‘lifting my pelvic floor’ to week six when I can confidently complete all the exercises and have felt the benefits. Fantastically my diastasis has completely gone as a direct result of the exercises, I am so pleased. I have also learnt how to engage my core within my general exercise to achieve maximum benefits. Claire! She is fantastic, I could not praise her enough both for her professional knowledge and delivery alongside her friendly and warm personality. She was so welcoming and warm and took such time and care with each of us. Each week we completed an array of exercises and then Claire shared a ‘topic’ with us, sharing her professional knowledge with us and even had little goodies and tasters each week like juices, Epson salts, a medication session, a CD and more! Thanks to Clare I have now started juicing and Buggyfit. It was such a lovely group of women, I genuinely enjoyed each and every session.
The course was very empowering and reassuring at the same time. Kate was amazing and no question was ever inappropriate, in fact monday eves became a wonderful forum to discuss those hugely ignored and undiscussed topics around the pelvic floor! it was great and lovely to normalise these issues. I have noticed a big improvement in firstly finding that connection with both the front and back of my pelvic floor and being able to isolate and work them individually. i have a new and strong awareness of my pelvic floor which is fantastic. I also think about it in much more of positive way rather than continually believing / worrying that a prolapse is imminent! the group chat and learning some great low impact exercise progressions….oh and all Kate’s delicious treats at the end!
More control over PF
Stronger PF” Claire’s knowledge and enthusiasm
“It’s been amazing. The separation between my stomach muscles has reduced by two thirds in 7weeks and the pain and discomfort I was experiencing daily has gone. It is so wonderful to regain better posture and a stronger core.
A physiotherapist I saw previously gave me very little help and I really believed that I’d have to have an operation to rectify the diastasis. I am so happy that I was able to improve it through exercise alone.
Kate also helped me to realise that I had prolapses and recommended another fabulous professional to help me with that. I am so grateful to Kate for her warmth and professionalism, she really is excellent at what she does. ” That it was something I could easily incorporate into my daily life with small kids and that from the first week I noticed a difference.
Course gave me understanding of pelvic floor, taught me how to do exercises and encouraged me to maintain with homework. Was also a nice hour on Monday night to focus on me! Kate was a brilliant teacher, made the courses a lovely fun place to be and created a really open environment to talk about any issues etc. The end of lesson treats were also delicious
A New approach beyond Kegel for dynamic exercises that I can use in real life. This has resulted in Greatly increased core strength despite diastisis recti. My Body confidence increased at the same time! Different to anything I’d done before and it was targeted to my specific problem! I liked the small class size as carrying out exercises correctly seems vital.
“Having previously been very fit and active I had complications during my second pregnancy that meant I was unable to exercise throughout my pregnancy, in addition I had to have a c-section which was also different to my first pregnancy.
This course, and Kate, increased my confidence by helping me understand what my body could do and how I could get back into fitness and back into shape. I have lost 12cm from my waist, have no diastasis and feel a lot stronger.” “I liked the holistic nature of the course, I found it useful to understand in more detail how pregnancy impacts your body and what you need to do after pregnancy to completely recover, both from an exercise perspective but also supplements.
I found Kate to be very understanding, positive and supportive and really enjoyed our sessions.”
“Strengthening back / shoulder / posture after breastfeeding
Introduction to new foods and healthy options
” Healthy food discussions & introduction to meditation too by way of suggestion
Yes I have made a fab connection with my pelvic floor, I don’t pee when I sneeze and I can feel confident now. My instructor was truly lovely, really encouraging and supportive during the days in between my sessions. That although I didn’t feel exerted physically I did feel like I’d worked hard on that connection between my body and exertion. I loved the little add ons she gave, like Epsom salts and ginger juices.
I learned some bespoke exercises that have truly and improved my strength and diastasis, which has started ‘zipping up’ above and below my belly button. Even at the most affected area around my belly button the connective tissue feels stronger. My posture has also shown significant improvement. I did not think I had any pelvic floor issues but this area feels noticeably stronger since starting the exercises and I feel I have much more awareness and control of my pelvic floor muscles. Sex has become easier (no pain) and more enjoyable! Meeting Kate and learning that there was something I could do to improve my diastasis. The opportunity to discuss my condition in some detail and receive bespoke advice and exercises to correct it.
Improved contraction of pelvic floor muscles. Reduced frequency of urge incontinence. Improved feeling of stability around lower back. Kate’s approach to the course and teaching provides a relaxed atmosphere in which you feel you can discuss anything
Improved control of pelvic floor, lots of interesting learning in the course Great bunch of women, Eliza is fabulous, really helpful to devote this time to focusing on such an intimate issue
I am more aware of how my core works and I have the tools I need to strengthen it. It also felt good to take the time to do something for myself, look after myself. “It felt good to be taking positive steps to heal my body. I enjoyed meeting Kate and the other course members, too.
Kate is a positive, caring mentor who strikes the balance between advisor and peer perfectly. She is never condescending and never pushy. A great ambassador. ”
I saw a clear improvement in my pelvic floor strength by week 4, although this reversed after moving onto the standing exercises. I am planning to go back to doing only sitting exercises, as this seems to be most beneficial for me. In general I thought that the course was excellent in raising my awareness of my pelvic floor and core area so that I can try to avoid future problems. I really enjoyed the two sessions where we ended with a guided meditation, as I found it very calming.
I am aware of my pelvic floor more. I focus more on breathing while exercising. My posture has improved. Relaxing atmosphere, range of exercises
“It gave me more knowledge and understanding about pelvic floor and how it works.
I haven’t noticed any differences in my pelvic floor muscle but hope it is stronger. ” Kate run it well, making it interesting and her little rewards at the end of each session eg amaze balls, were a really nice touch.
I had a weak pelvic floor post birth! Heavy feeling in that area, particularly at the end of the day. It is now much improved and I definitely don’t notice the problem as much as before. I found it very interesting and I picked up lots of tips. It made me think much more about my core and how that is linked to the pelvic floor so I need to keep it strong! Also felt inspired to eat more healthily and drink more water.
Was very beneficial I believe. Thanks to strengthening my inner abdomen my “mummy tummy ” I got after my second child is gone, what makes me very happy. I could not achieve it with regular exercises. Epsom salts was an incredible discovery to me. No more post workout aches, I can exercise and feel fully functional afterwards, keep asking myself how I did not know about it before! A huge thank you for that!
Yes! My diastasis has improved massively and my core strength has got loads better. “Viv, fabulous coach she made it all fun and easy.
I liked the ease of the exercises and that you could do them at home when you had a spare few minutes. At the time I didn’t think the exercises were doing anything, but the pics and tummy checks Viv did proved they were working :)”
“Strengthening core. Lots of information for key exercises and their impact aswell as nutrition really inspirational.
Anecdotal and research based information to support theory. Daily communication to encourage change in exercise regime really helpful.” Kate’s friendly delivery. Lots of information delivered. Great exercises built up slowly. Meditation was fab.
I needed much more core and pelvic strength after a tough labour but had left it a couple of years. Pip has given me a wonderful 6 weeks where I have learnt to rebuild muscle strength and tone and built up my confidence. I also gained more knowledge in nutrition, meditation and drinking water all ina relaxed atmosphere. Her friendly and encouraging manner and learning new exercises.
My diastasis has noticeably healed (was a 3 finger tummy gap to start with). Learning that simple exercises could make such a difference. And the apple and ginger shot!
Yes I have noticed increased bladder control and I have switched my carbohydrate heavy breakfast to a protein rich breakfast and have noticed some weightloss around my middle. Meeting other women with similar pelvic floor problems and the relaxation.
The course helped me understand how the pelvic floor actually works which really helped me to understand how to do the exercises properly. I noticed a difference in my pelvic floor and especially in my abdominal muscles. Much more defined by the end of the programme and not one sit-up!! Being with other women in the same boat as me and having some time for myself! Kate was so friendly and the atmosphere was so relaxed it became a part of the week that I really looked forward to.
Julie really promoted healthy eating and had some really good healthy meal and snack ideas. This encouraged me to eat better and do exercises that would are beneficial to me. Since taking this on board I have lost weight and inches! The different exercises and meeting new people.
The course helped me to identify and isolate my pelvic floor so I knew exactly which muscles I needed to engage. I left feeling quite confident knowing that, provided I kept doing the exercises, I could re-educate and strengthen my pelvic floor. I enjoyed being taught by Kate. She had a way of making everyone feel very positive about themselves. I always enjoy meeting new people, and the group was very supportive to one another. I also enjoyed Kate’s very nutritious healthy treats, which were things I would have never of known you could make!
Learnt a lot about the condition of my pelvic floor, and have a whole new repertoire of exercises for different instances. Lovely friendly and fun Denise Chester

I have much more control over my pelvic floor The humour, camaraderie , the food samples and knowing I was improving my bladder control!
“I never expected it to be as fun as it was, I looked forward to going every week.
Quite a few positive benefits.
I’m juicing regularly and already feel the benefits.
I no longer go to the toilet in the night.
My abs are firmer and I feel my posture is better.
” “Our ambassador is welcoming and relaxed and fun. I really felt I could ask any question and always got a full and detailed answer.
My fellow course mates were lovely and we all got on really well.
I loved the little treats we received and these were a nice surprise.”
The course has been fantastic. I have noticed a significant improvement in pelvic floor strength / control. Also lost half a stone in weight during the course, thanks to the nutrition advice and exercises recommended by Julie. Feel all over more supple and toned, and general wellbeing has improved. I enjoyed the stretching and strengthening exercises, the relaxation and massage, and the tasty snacks brought in by Julie.
I found the course beneficial as it has strengthened my core muscles and I feel a lot stronger, not only whilst doing the exercises but also in everyday lifting. The breathing technique I have found good to use whilst lifting my little boy or heavy objects. I have also found an improvement in my diastasis which I am very happy with. I enjoyed the exercises and learning more about my diet and the kind of foods that I should eat. It was also good to learn about the vitamins I should take.
It taught me about holding my core and pelvic floors correctly. This helps in Pilates Meeting mothers as I am pregnant so it was nice to hear experiences. Also working on the breathing as you exercise because this will help with labour.
Learning new exercises to strengthen my core and pelvic floor rather than just Kegels has been helpful, especially as I can fit them into my everyday life. I definitely feel stronger although I have not seen any change in my diastasis recti. I enjoyed meeting other women with similar issues – it was very empowering to know that others are dealing with the same thing. I also enjoyed the food discussions that we had.
I really don’t know if it has been beneficial for me personally. I have to take some responsibility as the last couple of weeks I struggled to do the exercises at least 4 times a week. I do struggle with my back but haven’t noticed any change. Joan’s knowledge.
Better control, more aware of posture, aware of the need to activate and lift in every day life. the education around food, sampling Rachel’s tasty snacks, the releases and relaxation.
Completing the exercises that Kate gave me has restored my confidence in my pelvic floor. I feel a real difference in day to day activities and when I go running. I’ve lost that ‘everything is falling out’ feeling and feel strong in my core. My diastasis is much improved and I have only a small gap remaining with strong connective tissue underlying it. I’m so pleased that I found out about the programme. Thank you, Kate! Talking to Kate and getting to the bottom of the issues affecting me most. Although I was worried about my diastasis, we worked out that it was my weakened pelvic floor that was the root of the problem. I really enjoyed working through the exercises that Kate set me, and then seeing how I had progressed when we met. New challenges were then set – perfect for my competitive nature!
This course was amazing. It isn’t just about pelvic floor it changes your whole posture. For such tiny movements you could make a massive difference to your body.
Tighter stomach muscles ” “The one to one tuition was beneficial
Good variety of exercises”
It has made me more aware of my pelvic floor muscles and the exercises were easy to do. I feel stronger in myself both physically and mentally as it is always best to feel in control of a situation. Meeting v and the individual attention.
Awareness of how to improve pelvic floor function. Improvement of p/f function. Toning exs have helped with diet / weight loss. Enjoyed every class. Manageable exs but could also really feel effects!
Help understand how breathing exercises can be brought into everyday life. Realise stomach exercises I had been doing was making split stomach muscles worse. Seen tumy reduction and gained confidences in myself Openness, knowing others same issue as you. Was a fun but focused course
“It taught me to really connect with the pelvic floor area, which the Keigel exercises had failed to do. Joan also explained the relationship with the thighs/legs, backside, hips and abdomen to the pelvic floor, which I hadn’t appreciated before. I was concentrating on the pelvic floor, to the exclusion of everything else. I also now realise the importance of correct breathing whilst exercising the pelvic area.
I am much more connected and toned, in a relatively short space of time. I have better control over my bladder and have trained myself not to “”need”” the loo so much. My husband had also said that he has noticed a difference. Initially I had what was thought to be a slight prolapse, which has gone. One just has to have the correct tools to move forward. This is something that I will take with me into the future and will be advocating it to many of my friends.” “It was a relaxed environment, so didn’t have any worry about asking questions, which
Joan answered well. Initially, I was concerned that I was the only one past menopause and all the others were there for post baby reasons. However, even when the discussion was about their situations, it was easy enough to process and adapt for myself.
I enjoyed the little “”gifts”” that we got on a weekly basis. That was a nice idea and worked well. On the last session I realised that I was going to miss everyone as we had started to gel.
Joan is very approacable and I feel that I can e-mail her if I have any further queries or questions.”
“helping me to think about my optimal posture when lifting and how to breathe. Learning the right way to exercise and some really beneficial exercise for improving my diastis.
I’ve also been thinking more about having protein and some healthy meal options ” the one on one tuition and the exercises
The course was very useful in helping strengthen my core and pelvic floor muscles, teaching the correct exercises, giving focus so I remember to exercise regularly. Hopefully creating good habits for life! I have seen improved definition of my stomach muscles (my main area of concern) and reduced my waist by about 3 cm. Everything.
The diastasis course has helped my self confidence and improved my core strength. I have seen a massive difference in the shape and size of my stomach and am able to run and cycle regularly thanks to my improved strength. The one to one tuition.
“The course allowed me to start afresh with the journey of healing my diastasis and improving my pelvic floor. I now have no problems with my pelvic floor and feel stronger as a result.
Joan has also helped me adjust my technique so hopefully my exercises will be more effective. ” “The regularity allowed me to focus and develop without losing interest.
Joan is great – she’s very knowledgeable and pays attention to each of us individually. ”
Feel more confident, definitely stronger core muscles, feel empowered- now I know how to help myself. All of it- good group, excellent instructor- very helpful. Explains things really well. Also liked that she checked we were ok throughout the week.
I learnt a lot about pelvic floor exercises but also about nutrition and healthy eating during pregnancy. “It was just a small class of 5 (pregnant) women and it was held at the ambassador´s home which was nice and cosy.
Communication was fantastic as the ambassador always replied within minutes on questions via email. ”
The course was beneficial, with very positive results. Made me aware of my posture and diet that has improved my overall wellbeing. Allowed me to connect with my body and pelvic muscles that I didn’t know existed. The exercises and homework. Also the chats post class was extremely helpful. Weaned myself off coffee as I was drinking too many cups a day. Down to 1 cup a day which has improved my bladder control to a greater extent.
I feel generally stronger and leaner and more stable. My posture has improved and I feel more physically confident in everyday life. Learning and practicing all the exercises and feeling myself getting better at them over the duration of the course.
Very good. Lost weight, got a taste for fitness again and started juicing The physical side
“A more positive view that I can improve my pelvic floor and not just live with the weakness. Properly feel like I am excersing my pelvic floor rather than just squeezing.
Become part of my routine rather than just something to so now anf then. ” “Understanding that there is more to just exercises. The nutrition element really inspired me.
It also has given me some good excercise to work other parts of my body so double the benefits. ”
I can now sneeze, cough and laugh without leaking. During a physio assessment at the hospital they said my technique for the pelvic floor exercises is perfect so although I still have a way to go I am confident that with continued practice my pelvic floor will continue to improve. The exercises themselves were fun. Emma was fantastic and made the classes fun and she was incredibly helpful and positive.
The course has been greatly beneficial and has increased the movement I have . I have more confidence tobend and stretch and resist the temptation to run to the loo constantly. I enjoyed the exercises and the positive response from the trainer.
I really enjoyed the course. It certainly opened my eyes and I learnt a lot. I have become more aware of my pelvic floor muscles although I am more aware whilst doing particular exercises and less so with others. I have learnt to be more aware when lifting things and when doing some exercises I can be putting pressure on my pelvic floor and so I have substituted these exercises for others. I realise that this is for life. I have felt an improvement over this course already. This has meant that I am able to walk further without worrying about any potential leaks. I am also trying to be more aware of food that I eat and trying to improve my intake of vegetables and fruit. The educational aspect in learning about how the muscles work and about nutrition. I loved that every week we enjoyed a different juice and I particularly enjoyed the date and nut balls. I found the DVD for the homework very helpful as I find it difficult to remember all of the exercises without a prompt.
I’ve learnt how to isolate my pelvic floor and how to incorporate the techniques I’ve learnt into my existing exercise routines and day to day activities. I’ve also had fewer leaks! Small classes, focused exercises and weekly treats from Eliza 🙂
“I have a much better understanding as to have my pelvic floor works, I have been taught how to do pelvic floor exercises the ‘right way’ and I have learnt loads about nutrition. All those things are now much more part of my daily life.
I am really interested in doing the Foo Foo Heat course!” “I enjoyed everything about the course.
Additionally, it was really helpful being able to email Denise inbetween the times I saw her, particularly the first couple of weeks when I wasn’t sure if I was doing the Foo Foo exercises properly.”
Stronger tummy, back and I think pelvic floor. More awareness of posture and breathing. Being in a group and learning from each other. Tips and recipe tastes each week! Felt supported and inspired.
Great to take the time out to effectively focus on my pelvic floor and learn techniques that can be incorporated into my day to day activities instead of being fobbed off with ‘do more kegels’. I did the course more to learn effective techniques to combat any future problems (don’t currently suffer from symptoms but had a traumatic birth with a big baby so know my chances of prolapse are increased) and I feel it did the job perfectly. Small, intimate, one on one advice. Holistic approach. Effective exercises. Teacher able to respond to specific needs of individuals.
Yes, gave me the opportunity to focus on this pregnancy and my body in this pregnancy. Was really useful to have short length of exercises during course and for after. Am sure I was never doing pelvic floor exercises properly with my first two pregnancies. Given me more confidence for this pregnancy, for labour and for after birth. “I enjoyed meeting Michelle and the other mums on the course. I liked the fact it was based at her house and was very comfortable and relaxing – probably even better for the meditation week. Parking was easy which is always a bonus.
I enjoyed learning about juicing and sampling the goods.
Found it really helpful that we went over the homework exercises every week. ”
It was great to make me start thinking about looking after myself again. Was nice to have an hour out – loved the meditations. I’m def more focused again going into the new year “Meeting other mums
Kate’s treats she would bring in”
“Feeling much more positive about my tummy shape.
Enjoyed the sessions with Pip.” Pip’s extensive knowledge about diastasis and the confidence she has about how the exercises help. She’s given me lots more confidence in the way I look and her sessions were relaxing too.
the course has done exactly as it promised, as well as great advice and info from Kate too. It has made me more confident to do other exercise and specially made me focus on my core and posture on a day to day basis. I feel stronger and more responsive especially in my core. “Kick starting my post natal exercise with confidence.
Kate is a great teacher – she brought fun things for us to try at the end. She’s very knowledgeable.”
My tummy gap has decreased a small amount but I feel stronger in my core and my stomach muscles feel more defined. It is the first course I have done that I have actually incorporated into my normal daily activities rather than just doing 45 mins each week. I am now trying to remember to breathe out when picking up the kids and thinking more about nutrition and how that can benefit me as well. It is also nice to exercise in a supportive small group of women in a similar situation.
“I have seen positive results regarding bending and stretching and using muscle groups I have not used before.
It has helped to resist the temptation to run to the loo.” I enjoyed the exercises and the positive comments from Julie.
“Taught me how to breathe properly in all forms of exercise which has already had an impact on the strength of my pelvic floor. I now know what it feels like to have my pelvic floor engaged so I will be able to continue with the exercises effectively in the future.
I have not benefited as much as I should as I have not been doing my homework – my own issues as I know I will only get the full benefit when I do this” Michelle has been a brilliant trainer and having 1:1 support was essential for me as I do have various joint issues which we have been able to work on as well. The DVD is very clear in demonstrating the exercises. The meditation technique has already proved useful.
It has improved my diastasis recti and core strength. It’s given me simple exercises I can now carry on at home, made me think about the benefits of protein in my diet, given me support and encouragement. The community aspect, sharing our issues, sharing our progress. It was fun as well as got results. I also really liked the healthy treats Eliza made for us for the end of each class! Eliza was a brilliant ambassador.
It helped lay out a structure that you could follow to try to get you into a routine. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get into that routine at the time but have started again from scratch, and although this is a bit disheartening, having been through the course I feel quite confident at being able to pick it up again because there is a solid structure around it. I thought Elspeth was good. She explained things well, kept building on what had been taught the previous week and it was good having other women’s inputs.
Definite improvement in bladder control and removal of the fear of doing exercise. Meeting lots of nice people. Lovely comfortable class.
“I feel like I have more energy, am better informed about my core and pelvic floor, my core seems firmer and lost 12 cm from my waist.
I have a whole toolkit that I can contiue to use to help strengthen my core and pelvic floor further. ” Learning about the combination of elements that can help restore my core and some of the breathing techniques and stretches.
I found the course to be very informative regarding the physiology of the entire core and it’s relation to the pelvic floor. It was very helpful to have the visualisations to focus on during the exercises. I definitely feel an increased core strength and new awareness of my pelvic floor- definitely motivated to keep up the homework. Elspeth set a very relaxed, positive and empowering tone in the sessions and was full of useful information. The sessions were companionable and fun. It was good to have such a strong focus on the pelvic floor and core.
It has virtually stopped all leakage and increased my pelvic floor strength. I no longer have problems with lack of control. The 4 pint visualisation and “homework” really helped Working with Kate on a one to to basis was both fun and educational. Learning some simple exercises has really helped. Kate video recorded some exercised which helped me to recall them.
My balance is better and my core feels better, I have more control of the core muscles. All of it. The teacher’s enthusiastic approach was great.
when I first joined the group my core muscles were very weak, I found it difficult to do any core exercises. Once the course had finished not only did I get good advice on core muscle exercises but I was able to some exercises I had never been able to do before all because they were so much more stronger! I was never a very good at remembering to do pelvic floor work after having my baby but during the course I would do them often in the week and be happy with how much easier the exercises got, it was good to learn them. I’m much more aware about my posture which had sorted out back ache I had at the beginning of the programme. Lisa was very good in the fact she made it fun!
I think its a great course with some good techniques. I think once I get into a regular (homework) pattern, I will see great benefits The whole ‘package’
It has been brilliant! My core strength & pelvic floor was awful after my 2nd baby & this course has really helped. I’m a lot stronger & more aware of my pelvic floor muscles throughout the day & constantly using them. The gentleness of the course & the practical advice. I’ve stopped drinking caffeine altogether.
Understanding how my body does/ doesn’t work and reconnecting with the core! I can now feel it activating. I can sneeze more confidently and take part in circuits again – knowing what to modify and how. “Joan was a really lovely instructor – very knowledgeable and created a great atmosphere.
I liked the information provided and how it was positioned holistically into life.”
It gave me lots of information about pelvic floor issues that I hadn’t realised before, particularly the hour long film Hazel sent us from Burrell information which made me realise how many ladies have problems. “The relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to talk through various pelvic floor related problems without embarrassment is great and also being able to try all the juices and talk about possible supplements.
Hazel’s enthusiasm makes us want to succeed.”
It really got me thinking about the importance of my core and how that is central to my whole fitness, particularly after just having a baby. The importance of nutrition too in healing my body – something I had never really placed much emphasis on before. I am so going to get myself a juicer now! Building on the exercises week by week. Plus the yummy juices and amazeballs! Kate was great too – very motivating and the text message updates were very useful and supportive.
“I cannot speak highly enough of this course and tuition. I had my baby 9 weeks ago and started the course with poor pelvic floor and severe separated tummy muscles which left me with “”bloated mummy tummy””.
I have now completed the course and I am so pleased and relieved with the result and complete overhaul of how I think about exercise, pelvic floor and abdominal health and function. I feel stronger and so much more comfortable as I don’t have the “”heavy”” feeling from pelvic floor.” The course was explained with physiology and anatomy to apply with the exercise. Michelle ensured I was completing all of the exercises correctly and was very supportive so I was comfortable to complete all the exercise routine.
The course educated me about holistic approach I could take to pelvic floor recovery and strengthening. This meant that there were a variety of things I could do help my recovery; diet, nutrients, relaxation, strengthening exercise and targeted pelvic floor work. It was good to understand how all of these things work together and how the exercises/strengthening would help/be beneficial in my every day life. To do the phased approach of pelvic floor work from seated to standing in a controlled way was reassuring because I was always a little worried and unsure of how much I could/couldn’t do and I didn’t want to hinder progress made thus far. It gave me an understanding of the exercises I could do and these were ones i could do at home. My core has definitely improved as a result of the course and I assume my pelvic floor has to as I am starting to feel it more in the standing exercises. I enjoyed learning about how our pelvic floor works and connects to our core as per the above. I also enjoyed the introduction to healthy alternatives e.g. the juice, flapjack, chocolate mouse
Yes it was very beneficial. I have found I am a lot more conscious of engaging my pelvic floor when needed & also when I am caught with surprises – my pelvic floors are engaging quicker! Realising it wasn’t just me & that I wasn’t actually ‘that bad’ & with training & practice I could do something about it. Eliza is a great teacher who is very personalble & motivating, she has a great calmness about her with inspirational qualities. I enjoyed the course & I am telling other Mums about it as I think it is something we should be able to talk openly about & not feel ashamed!
I found the exercises more effective and less boring than Kegels. I found it possible to identify my pelvic floor muscles working more easily and to build strength. It was helpful to have do much input from Kate and the other class members rather than simply clenching and hoping for the best! The camaraderie from the group. Kate’s positive outlook and advice.
Yes it was beneficial. My diastasis recti has improved and the continuous contact throughout was also helpful. Gaining the knowledge about my condition and knowing that I will be able to recover and get back to training how I did before.
The results have been outstanding. I’ve had my pelvic floor reassessed by a physio that has changed my status of no improvement/ unlikely to improve to seeing significant improvement. i wrote my details in my thank you note to Kate. I have also now got a flatter tummy and feel stronger. Learning techniques to protect my back, and strengthen exercises. The techniques will be used for the rest of my life.
My core strength has improved massively,I feel much more confident and my nutrition has improved which has had a knock on effect to my energy levels. The class activities/ exercises, tasting etc.t
I found the course hugely beneficial in that it has taught me a whole new set of skills in respect of strengthening my pelvic floor. I thought Kate made the class relaxed and interesting and she was very patient and understanding when initially I wasn’t quite getting the hang of it. I also really enjoyed her treats!!
Encouragement and therefore confidence to perform exercises without anxiety as no fear of doing incorrectly Definite improvement in muscle tone and ability to focus on pelvic floor and reassurance that you are not alone with your problems Emma very approachable and immediately put whole class at ease Each week WELL planned ,core exercises built upon and different topics for discussion with email feedback too.
Very quickly experienced positive results eg by week 2 sneezing with no unwanted effects! Also by week 5 able to do 100 bounces on the trampoline with no downside! The outcome.
The course was very beneficial in making me more, aware of my pelvic floor and the benefits of engaging it whilst exercising “The course was relaxed and fun whilst being informative
Kate makes the atmosphere very calm and relaxed so the group quickly gelled making it easier to get involved in the course exercises and to question without feeling judged.”
I have learned so much about my posture and no longer wee myself when I sneeze. Eliza made it fun and it was a bit of me time at the end of a hectic day
I didn’t have a serious issue, just a general weakening of my pelvic floor after the pregnancy After the course I am able to stop in the middle of peeing which I wasn’t able to do after th birth of my daughter 4 months ago. I feel confident to do pelvic floor exercises which again I wasn’t able to do before. Core exercises
Elspeth was fantastic, she provided me with a deeper understanding of healing, and how/what I needed to do, she offered me structured guidance and ongoing motivation. As a result I was better equipped to care of myself in the healing of my tummy and she help me feel healthier generally. I could not rate her highly enough she is excellent. All of it.
I feel more centred, I needed work on my core and diastasis. The course was very beneficial to target the core in a gentle but highly effective way. The workouts with Claire were always enjoyable in that there were plenty of exercises outside of the coursework to give you a sense of a good workout each week the class met. Claire our instructor who was encouraging, friendly, and motivating us to do our homework to reach our exercise goals.
It has made me focus on exercises that will make a difference & how I can be working my core effectively in everything I do from picking up my children to lifting the buggy etc. The fact that I really felt the exercises are working.
“I joined the course due to reaching a place in my life where I was physically so weak after 3 babies, including 2 c-sections, and feeling massively stressed out by the demands of 3 small children.
Emma helped me begin to restore my core strength – my tummy gap closed up in 6 weeks!
I now know how important it is to take time out as a mother, it is not being selfish, I think it actually makes you a better mum! ” Beginning to feel physically stronger and chatting to Emma, who is lovely.
I was really struggling with my pelvic floor before I started seeing Michelle, and I wasn’t happy with the look of my stomach after having 2 children. After just a few weeks, I had lost about an inch or two off my stomach, and it appeared noticeably more toned. When I had finished 3 sessions with Michelle, I re commenced running and I have been surprised at how much stronger my pelvic floor is. The exercises don’t take too long to do, so I can easily fit them into my day to day routine, and it was very useful having the equipment provided. The communication has been excellent too.
Pelvic floor a little stronger. Feel more confident and knowledgable and less like I need to run to the loo Probably normalising effect and pelvic homework exercises
“Just having had a baby I suddenly found a reduction of control with my bladder. It was when I needed the toilet and I was pretty close to the bathroom that I really noticed how weak my muscles had got! Although I don’t feel ready to jump on a trampoline, I have noticed a definate difference with how much stronger my pelvic floor is with the control I have in getting to the bathroom safely!!
I joined the course as being advised to work my pelvic foor i never felt sure I was doing them right but with the Foo Foo exercises I was able to really feel them working and incorporate them into my day.
Kate was also really helpful with checking on my diastasis and giving exercise tips that would help!” I really enjoyed the social aspect, we had a great group with plenty of chat. I have no doubt at all that this was largly down to Kate who is super friendly and made everyone feel really welcome. I loved the healthy treats she would bring in too!
I had a 2.5 diastasis recti and only occaisional problems with a weak pelvic floor. My diastasis has nearly closed now, which I am really happy about. I haven’t had any problems with the pelvic floors since doing the course I thought I would hate the fact that the course also encompassed healthy eating and lifestyle, as I am quite a picky eater. But it has been really good, I even have my own juicer now and am drinking green juice.
“Exercise in the home meant I could still be close to baby.
Toning of problem areas” Ambassador was friendly with great advice
“Sex is back to post baby
Can hold a wee in” “Seeing results every week
Having Kelly come to my house, she’s great & particularly the weekly ‘check in’ outside of sessions. ”
Identifying and strengthening pelvic floor and core muscles. Appreciate the mantra ‘ you have to work, in order for programme to work’, and the need to keep up the exercises after the six week course finished. Inspiring teacher. Classes were good fun with a great mix of personalities amongst other participants. Nice balance of exercise, information on nutrition, juicing, meditation and general wellbeing.
The course has meant I can now walk my dog with my baby in a carrier, without a constant feeling of pressure. I’m fitter and healthier thanks to low impact, high intensity exercise suggestions from Joan, as I hadn’t worked out since the birth of my son due to my pelvic floor issues. “I felt that starting the pelvic floor exercises from a sitting position was extremely beneficial as I struggled to feel anything when in a standing position so this meant by the time we got to Level 3, I felt much more.
I found myself looking forward to finding out which treats Joan had brought for us each week to improve our overall health and lifestyle choices; lemons, herbal teas, bath salts etc.
I also enjoyed learning the strengthening exercises which have meant I can raise my heart rate, without putting extra pressure on my pelvic floor. I’m now carrying on with these during my baby’s nap time. ”
I have started to feel more connection between core and pelvic floor muscles. Strength exercises and relaxation.
Definitely raised my awareness of small things that affect pelvic floor weakness such as posture and diet. Being with people having the same problem, some time to actually concentrate and focus on the technique to help eliminate the problem.
Being part of a group of other ladies with pelvic floor issues which made me feel less abnormal. Sharing is good! Was already on a course of physio but reinforcing it was good. Definitely have a stronger pelvic floor but have a way to go. The social aspect was great; Kate was lovely and made us all feel normal about our issues and positive going forward. Also laughing about it as opposed to feeling sorry for myself over my prolapse was fantastic! The pelvic floor safe exercises were so good and Kate’s additions of video links, diet tips and meditation were spot on!!!!
“Educating me on how to use my pelvic floor after surgery.
It has been great seeing my progress with the excercises and the length of time I can do them for. ” “Kate made the whole course beyond enjoyable – from the visualisation techniques to the mediation and of course the end of the session treats!
I also loved being in a room full of women who openly shared their experiences and made me feel like I was not alone feeling like I did.”
I’ve found the course really motivating and fun. The weekly sessions are fun and it is so good to be in an environment where your particular physical condition is understood and where you know everything is safe and beneficial. The videos are also great and Kate was excellent at encouraging us to stick to homework. I feel more positive, motivated and more in control. I’ve actually also noticed I can now walk further without feeling my prolapse as much as previously. The friendly atmosphere and interesting exercises- it’s never dull and doesn’t feel like a chore. Kate’s end-of-class treats each week are also great! Also, and very importantly, just being in an environment where you feel understood and do not feel the need to keep your issues a secret.
